Those interested in following news stories on anything related to e-cigarettes can go to google news:
e-cigarette - Google News

If you sign up (if you have an account, or you can create one easily) it will email you anytime the word "e-cigarette" (or whatever combination of terms interests you; e.g. "e-cigarette" - and "health" or "law" or a particular brand) appears in any story from about 4500 news sources (not the whole of the Web).

Right now there are not many stories appearing, so you don't have to worry about being overloaded. It will be interesting to see when there is critical mass and stories fly everywhere. Probably when somebody uses one on TV or in the movies.

It belatedly occurred to me that many, not all, of these news sites have a comment section as well. Sometimes you have to register (usually just takes a sec) many times not.

It would be a real good thing if any mention, anywhere, on the planet, of e-cigs, got a proper response from a user, right at the moment of publication. So, whenever a news story goes up we ought to put the link up here and have the boys and gals from the forum speak their minds! Hell, why have a democracy if you're not going to use the damn thing!

for those of you who don't know, there is a site called BugMeNot, which sneakily provides 'fake' usernames and passwords for quite a few sites [prob. not all the Google sources], enabling you to just enter that username, instead of registering with all of your own information. i believe there is even a Firefox extension available.

/just sayin
