I admit I was a little scared at first of using 100mg nicotine but after putting on the gloves and safety glasses, transferring some into a smaller bottle that was much easier to work with, and then making my first recipe with the proper dilution (20mg) I got over it.

I whipped up 3 5ml bottles that are all steeping:
Peach/Pear/candy - to test flavor strengths
Peach/Cantaloupe - 1st attempt at mimicking one of my favorite juices
Pear/Coconut/Cream - 1st attempt at mimicking another favorite

I also made 15ml bottle of tobacco base using THIS recipe with Seedman's Commercial which is already pretty good with no steeping at all.

I should receive the last component I need for Dan's tobacco base recipe today and I'll mix that up this weekend.

I'm feeling pretty cool right now, vaping on that Seedman's mix that I made myself. :D On the schedule for this weekend is experimentation with a several banana flavors so I can begin my pursuit of a flavor like Gorilla juice. I want to make something like KPB as well.

I think I'll change my forum name to Dr. Mixnvapor

Hey Dr. Mixnvapor let me know if you come up with any good tobacco bases that are not sweet. Looking for a dry smokey base for my new Zenesis

Will do! I'm most interested in tobacco based juices and to that end, I purchased over dozen tobacco flavors from several vendors that I'll be tinkering with over the next few months. My tastes tend toward the somewhat sweetened (not cloyingly sweet) tobaccos so if I do stumble across something dry it'll probably be a mistake, heheheheh. Having said that, I expect that once I hone my skills a bit I'll be posting some recipes and I'll certainly post anything that looks like it'll work for you.

Just a small word if advice. Based on my experience and advice from others, whenever I have 100mg nic, I dilute the whole batch down to a level which won't cause injury or death. Then it's right there and easier to work with for future mixes.

I thought about that but I'm pretty comfortable with it now and I do have protective gear. Plus, it's easy to divide into 100 ;)

sinnyc, just be uber careful! When I mix down, I must look like I'm wearing a hazmat suit, even protective eye goggles. I also protect my workplace with a sheet of plastic, so when I'm done, I can just fold everything up for disposal. Just be sure to respect 100mg nic because a small mistake can produce dire consequences. I agree with bluegrasslover, don't get comfortable with 100mg nic.

Perhaps "comfortable" was the wrong word. What I meant was that when I mixed my first juice I was so nervous I was jumpy. IMO, working with hazardous materials when your that tweaky is quite dangerous as well. You can lose your focus, get confused, and are more likely to make mistakes. Once I finished that one, I calmed down and have been fine since. By fine I mean that I've been focused, organized, and careful - measuring 3 times and cutting once as it were.

I use eye protection and gloves; my work area has ventilation and even some spill protection/containment. I use large, high-lipped trays to mix on. If anything spills, the tray holds it and prevents it from running onto the table, floor, or whatever. I place each successive bottle that I use on the tray when opening, measuring and transferring any ingredient and then move it off the tray once it has been resealed. This system also help prevent double dosing since the only items on the tray are the target bottle and the ingredient I'm either about to add, am in the process of adding, or have just added. That ingredient gets sealed and moved back to the rack before the next one is put on the tray.

I own firearms, reload shotgun shells, and have worked with solvents and acids in past jobs. I understand the dangers involved in such activities as well as the hazards involved in working with a poison like nicotine. Getting some in your eye or soaking your jeans in a spill would require a quick trip to the ER - this stuff is no joke. I appreciate the advice and concern but I feel OK about handling it at 100mg.

By the way, I'm up to my 7th juice  Can't wait to taste them after a few days of steeping.
