so i was working on my kayfun mini, trying to blow out e-liquid from the air channel. when a drop got passed my glasses and landed in my eye. this batch is TFA green apple and TW orange. both have a citrus / sour kick to the flavor. it hurt really really bad. i have had every automotive fluid in my eyes, with the exception of battery acid. and none of them hurt as bad as this. i have done the "tequila stuntman" TWICE. it did not hurt as bad as this batch of e-liquid. i have been indirectly exposed to pepper spray with CS tear gas and that was worse than this batch of e-liquid. so it was somewhere between the Tequila Stuntman and pepper spray mixed with CS tear gas...
i could barely see out of my other eye even though i don't think i got any e-liquid in it. here is what i did. i was lucky to have a full bottle of water on the table with the cap on. i grabbed it, and used my pocket knife to pop a tiny whole in the cap. then lay down my back on the floor and flushed my eyes out. took about 2 bottles of water before the pain was gone. Fun Times!
im fine, my eyes are fine.

Glad to hear that you're now OK.

As to working on autos, it's best to wear safety goggles to prevent fluids/dust from getting into the eyes. Some can blind, in particular the battery acid that you've stated hasn't bit you yet. Don't assume it can't.

Cat

i keep a jug full of baking soda and water around, just in case.

one of the worst is 90 weight rear diff oil, constant eye boogers for weeks.

Thanks for the warning, I wear reading glasses when refilling and building so hopefully this will afford some protection, but on the subject of "things in the eye" ............

30 years ago when I was young and unlearned, I was laying under my car trying to remove a rusty exhaust bracket, as the bolt was stuck fast I used a hammer to hit the spanner, big mistake, filled both eyes up with rust. I had to hold both eyes open with my fingers, fortunately I kept a needleless syringe in my med kit and flushed them out with it, avoiding a hospital visit, that is the most painful thing I have had in my eye.

Second most painful, finger nail whilst using nail clippers.

Third, toothpaste flicked by catching the end bristles on my toothbrush.
