Got my DSE901

So my DSE901 arrived yesterday. I know I will move on to something else once I have a little experience. I do like the style.

5 pre filled cartridges came with it of various flavors. I have tried 2 so far. I must be doing something wrong or the cartridges are old. The vapor and the TH are acceptable however the taste is awful. Actually leaves a bad aftertaste for a long time?

My plan is to buy some empty cartridges and fresh juice. Any other suggestions?

Never heard of too many people that like the prefilled cartridges coming with the kits. Getting empty cartridges and some juice you like is definitely a required step. Maybe try a couple of sample packs from vendors; that way you can try out the different flavors and see what you like before you step in and buy the bigger bottles. As far as juice vendors, read around in the forum and see what others are vaping and where they buy for a few suggestions.

Hi Al! I, too, started with the DSE901 (from Liberty Flights) and still use it for sampling and tasting flavors that I don't want to waste a cartomizer on with my eGo-T. I remember that I also didn't like any of the prefilled carts that came with it, except (much to my surprise), the menthol cart ... even tho I never did smoke menthol analogs. If your kit didn't come with a manual 901 batt, I suggest you get one so you can use the setup for tasting in the future.

My least favorite flavor of all time -Pre-filled carts !! But being it's a cart, it's easy to remove
the filling, wash with water, dry in paper towel, and fill with tasty juice.

Test out your juice flavors with a few drops direct on the atty, you'll be able to tell easier what
flavors you like.

Re dripping on the atty - it is probably an automatic battery. Dripping onto the atomizer is not recommended with automatic batteries. If you do it you'll have to be extremely careful not to let juice leave through to the threaded end of the battery. At least with DSE901 it's more like to leak out the side air intake onto your fingers.

When I first started vaping, I used a 901. I still use them to test flavors. I like them. I don't like them leaking but the newer ones seemed to have fixed that problem. Mine are 2 years old.

I don't know if they still do, but they used to use what they called "primer". It's absolutely nauseatingly nasty.

IF it's still being used, wash your atomizer well with hot water rinse, vodka or isopropyl alcohol to remove the primer.
Water will take several hours to overnight to dry. Vodka and ISO will only take about an hour.
Then try your cartridges again.

I got my DSE-901 from vaporkings on the 1st, couldn't be happier!!! Look under models to learn more about the 901. Sure in a year, maybe an upgrade, although as of now I can see using this forever & ever.
After 12 days, I can say you made the right choice! Also, I have a usb PT, very nice w/ the 901. Filled carts are blah, cept menthol
I luv the cranrazz from madvapes, the green tea from vaporkings, dekang at madvapes as well. I can't wait to get the sample kit from Halo< have heard non stop good things!

Thanks for the replies! Gonna buy a manual battery and a drip tip along with the empty cartridges and some juice! So much to learn....lol

I've been using the DSE901 for 4 months now, and love it. The only downside has been the leak if you overfill. I am new to the forum and have been reading the threads all day, so much great info here!
