The ego (type) models are fantastic. And really are some of the best. IMHO.
To get the most from your unit: make sure it's fully charged. I notice that right before my unit needs charging , the power output drops off. Also keep the threads clean from debris and old juice. Just wipe occasionally with a damp cloth. Juice content can make a difference... but not always. That was proved by Belletrist I believe.
The only thing you don't want to do, is use a LR atty on it. It will cause an early demise to your batt. Otherwise, enjoy!

I've had my eGo for about a month, and I absolutely love it. It's small so I vape everywhere, all day long battery life, and low maintenance...how can you go wrong I would definitely keep the threads clean, and use the cone! It prevents the juice from getting all over you and the unit (making stealth vaping even easier) Have fun with it.

With 70 PG/30 VG , I get good amount of vapor on 510 LR(2.0 Ohm) cartomizers.
I like boge lr cartomizers, I use them on my ego's and it does drain the battery faster, but no problems so far, also I prefer a 70/30 or 80/20 mix with pg and vg, you'll notice the difference when you vape 100% vg, if you are worried about the low resistance cartomizers and the ego's, just go to mad vapes and get a aa box mod, they are cheap, 8 bucks if you build it yourself(all u need is a glue gun and a soldering iron), or its like 23 bucks if they build it for you, its good to have some redundancy with pv's, and the small aa box mod is are great one to have around, it actually hits a little harder than the ego's, but the ego's are much better with a lr boge IMHO, but they could be bad for the ego battery, i'm not really sure about that, i use the box mod alot more than the ego's.
The boge lr make it so I just carry around the pv, and a small bottle of juice, when the cartomizer gets low I just add a few drops, another tip is if you have 100% pg juice, add some plain vg to it approx 5-10% or so, in my experience it doesnt mess with the flavor too much and I think it smokes better, or you can add some of the pre mixed 100% vg juice to some of the 100% pg juice if you think the flavors would go together.

Grats on the eGo, I've been using mine nonstop since I got it. Maybe you just have to break in the atty a bit to get the full vapor production. I also noticed sometimes when i vape with the cone off, as well as getting more airflow, I'll get a bit more vapor as well, might just be me though. Also I'm currently vaping 50/50 PG/VG mix and getting a decent amount of vapor, switching to all VG sounds like it would definetly help though, giving different mixes and combinations a try seems like its rly the only way your gonna find what works best for you.
I been using the stock carts with it today...it came with five. No my throat hurts so bad! I was having probs so I hope the VG makes a big difference. With my store bought model I got so little vapor, with this ego its like 10x more. Any ideas?
did you blow the atomizers out? They come shipped with some nasty primer in them. And yes, various juices have different effects depending on the flavor.
If you got a primer hit you'd know it, tastes like... well i don't know anything that tastes bad enough to accurately compare it to. Keep in mind that vaping can dehydrate you so you need to drink more water when your vaping. The sore throat may just be from your thraot getting dried out.
best thing i have found for a new atty is to soak in warm watter like half hour and then run some vg into it and let it drip then flush it with more warm watter then blow it out also i have a soda bottle i use with a hole in the cap i can put a atty in and drip it over night normally will remove all the primer or burnt taste and gets them running like new hope this helps you some BTW the best thing for the ego i have used is a xl lr atty rips the vape holds like 2ml but you have to keep it wet with a few drips on the bridge here is where i got mine Low Resistance Atomizers - Joye eGo - XL LR
Thanks all ....I started drinking some water and will get to cleaning my atty's out. I'm also going to hold off till my VG shows up on monday (I hope).
The same thing happened to me, I figured out that straight pg juice gives me a sore throat if i vape it all day, so I kindof have to have vg in stuff I use, I figured out that I do not need pure vg stuff, for some reason when I cut the pg with vg, at least 10-20%, I no longer have a sore throat, during the day i'll do a mild 14mg 70/30 mix with light flavoring, and I keep a 100% 26mg pg juice on hand if i'm having a craving for a cig, couple of puffs of the rough stuff is good for me
One thing I noticed is that if some juice leaks into the battery connection, The vapor becomes less while still getting a decent throat hit. Might want to look into the battery end and be sure that it is dry. Use a little paper towel to dry it out if necessary.
Well I feel better knowing its not just me...I can't wait till I get my VG in, that and I have tons of great flavs ordered from Juicyvapor.com.
I might try the mix, I saw a forum supplier that sold a %20 PG/%80 VG mix. Let me try the all VG and if all goes well I will work a mix in like that. I wish I could think of who sold that flav..Thanks man.
if you don't need nic in your vg, maybe just pick up a bottle of Wilton VG at Michael's craft store -- and maybe try just adding a little to your current PG juice. I've tried that with some all-PG juice and it helped...
It should be a warning/sticky not to start with all PG....my throat hurts like a mother trucker. I was going to town and I guess I should have just slowed down a bit seeing how it was my first day with my eGo, which as I said before puts10x the vapor as my el cheapo pv I have. I hope it clears up soon.
yep, when I had a killer sore throat, that would be the day I fell off the wagon, after three weeks of no analogs, but even when I fell off the wagon I only had a couple instead of a pack, the analogs tasted nasty, but did calm down my sore throat, there is lots of posts about folks being allergic to pg, I thought maybe I was one of them, but as it turns out i'm fine with it as long as its mixed. Now I just rarely smoke pure pg juice, I keep a bottle of no nic/flavoring vg, if I get a bottle of juice in that is all pg, there is always air at the top of the bottle so I just make sure to add some vg too it, something to take the edge off of it, I think every one has their own tolerance level for pg, which varies from person to person.
