Man that's a good feeling! Two weeks ago my niece and her fiance Lyle ate lunch with my family. Of course I was showing Lyle my set-up and was telling him how much I loved it and that I hadn't had a cig since I started. Today they showed back up and Lyle was showing me his new e-cig! Granted, he bought it at walmart, but hey, it's working for him. He said he's had it for about a week, and other than having a few analogs last Friday night when he was drinking with his buddies, he's been smoke free. I've given him this website among several others so he can get some great information and more suplies when he needs them/wants to upgrade. I hope he sticks with it.

Congrats Tookiedoo! Yes, it is a good feeling to convert someone!

And wow, walmart sells e-cigs? Is there nothing that store doesn't sell? LOL Too bad though as I imagine the quality of whatever one they are selling is likely off, but like you said, at least you got him vaping!!! :) Part two of your conversion can be helping him find a better e-cig. lol

AWESOME! And yes, it's a grand feeling.

Just to share, this afternoon I went down to my 'office' (local boat ramp) to share the liars bench. An acquaintance dropped by with his vocalist girlfriend. He asked if I had an e-cig kit like I've been starting my other converts on. A few pertinent questions of the very lovely maid and, *poof*, my 13th pleased convert.

And yes, I do keep a new eGo kit with two eMDCCs and some Vanilla Bourbon 18mg in my truck for just such an opportunity.

I was surprised myself to hear that he got it from wal-mart. I don't remember the brand, but he let me have a pull off of it. Not too bad. Not a whole lot of vapor, but a nice flavor. Something like an RY4, but a little lighter.

Congrats Tookiedoo! Yes, it is a good feeling to convert someone!

Good job, but do you consider them converted when they ask for a e-cig kit, or once they are finally using it and smoke free? I've given out a lot of stuff but don't really count them as a convert unless they use it. Sadly, many will take your free stuff and tinker with it, but then stop when the novelty wears off. I have stopped giving kits away for that reason. Now I just use the education method as it seems people are much more likely to use something they had to pay for vs it being free. I am more apt to let them try mine by putting in a new carto for them to try out (too much of a germophobe to share a carto LOL). Once they try it and experience that throat hit, they seem very intrigued. BUt i let them buy their own kit since once money is invested in something people tend to want to follow through more.

But 'grats on continuing to spread the good word.

Excellent question. First of all, they pay what I paid for the kits/shipping (I buy on sale and no profit made), aka pocket incentive. I try to do followups and see 'em now and then. I can say with certainty that of the 13, 10 are vaping sans cigs, two share smoking/vaping and the last gal, don't know yet.

If they only vape part time, it's still a victory for them and me!

Good for you keeping on keeping on! :) I also consider it a victory even if they become part time vapers, but the ones that get the kit and use it then stash it when the novelty wears off, I don't. I was just curious what others thought about it.

Good thing you are getting some money back on those kits, that could get very expensive! LOL
