I've been smoking for about 35 years now. I quit once for about a year, that was around ten years ago. I knew at some point I would absolutely have to quit smoking, but was never able to take that big step. I smoke about a pack and a half a day of ultra lights. Been lurking on here of and on for the past six months, came back last weekend and decided to go ahead and buy a PV. I decided from the information that I got on ECF that the Joye 510 would probably be the best one to try, just to see if I liked it. I purchased it from MFS, along with a bottle of 12mg Caramel e-liquid, which was a good idea. I wish I would've gotten more flavors to try, even though the Caramel isn't too bad. The juice that came in the cartrdges wasn't bad, it just didn't have enough nicotine or enough throat hit.
My first impression is that this is something that could very well work for me.
Thanks to everyone here, for all the great information and encouragement.

I too just received my PV today...YAY :toast: It is also a Joye 510. I am waiting for my batts to charge, but, am using a passthrough in the meantime to try it out. Working well!

I thought there would be a learning curve to this...but, I'ved watched so many vids and this forum on the how too's....I feel like I am already a Pro...:p

I have also purchased an Joye Ego today....pretty psyched about that! Mainly I will be using the 501 outside of the home so as I don't looked so strange as I would with the Ego (dont want people think it is some sort of drug paraphernalia...) And, of course, the Ego at home for some heavy duty vaping!

I am looking forward to this as too improve my health and get off those nasty cigs!

Happy Vaping!:vapor:

Welcome bruther,
I know how you feel, I smoked over a pack a day for 40 some odd years and thought I would die with a Cigarette in my hand. When I discovered vaping, I feel it has saved me from that fate. It took a while to get used to after smoking all those years but I am very happy with it and I haven't had an analog in over 5 weeks.
Good Luck and hang in there.

By the way VG will give you a better throat hit which makes the transition easier.

Do you mean the bottles taste different than the carts the places sell?

Hi Ros and welcome to you, too! From what I have read the prefilled carts don't taste as good as the juices. And, there seem to be zillions of juice choices! Check out GourmetVapor.com--I couldn't believe all the choices! They are pretty pricey BUT, they are having a 50% off sale with the code facebook50!

Welcome to the wonderful world of vaping! I suggest ordering samples from different sites before buying larger sized bottles. You never know what you'll like or dislike and you don't want to have a bunch of 30ml bottles of stuff you can't stand.

This sounds like a good idea. I was thinking about ordering some samples from FSUSA and Backwoods brew since they both seem to be popular. I just need to figure out what flavors will suit me.
