So after all the helpful info from everyone this morning. I decided on the A & N set up I tried at the mall a week ago. Got 2 batteries and a portable charger? I don't remember what it was called but it looks like a cig pack but can charge your batteries on the go, seemed like the best option for me since I can also charge the box and the batteries at the same time in the car.
So now do I just switch over to vaping completely? I have a pack of cigs but it isn't opened, and was going to see how I did on just vaping.
Thank you to Baditude for the advice about coughing and needing to drink plenty of water.

What it sounds like you have got is a PCC. They are good for people on the go because the batteries on the cig lookalike ones aren't the best. Some people have different ways of stopping. If you vape and you think you dont want a cig don't have one. Just try your best not to give in! And I'm sure in a matter of time you will be off them completely :)

My advice would be this:
When you feel like having a cig, vape instead and see if the urge goes away. Tell yourself that if you still want a cig after you vape a bit, you can have one. That way you can avoid that sense of depravation that, for me, was always one of the hardest things about trying to quit smoking.
When I tried this method, it worked pretty well. I cut down from a pack a day to 3-4 cigs a day right away. After a couple months like that I made a push to see if I could just vape my way through those cravings. That took a bit of effort but got easier each day I didn't smoke. Haven't had a real cig for 10 months now!
Good luck to you!

Quit at your own pace rather than getting all stressed out about it and jonesing nonstop. Every cigarette less you smoke per day is a win. For most people the more they vape, the less they want to smoke. If you're anything like that, you'll eventually quit completely. There's no timeline.

Some people quit day one, some people it takes a couple weeks, some people still have 2 or 3 a day months later. In a perfect world you could just make a clean switch. Not everyone can do that.

I just can't stress enough that every cigarette you avoid is a WIN. You'll get to 0 eventually and will get to enjoy all the things you've been missing for the years that you smoked: smells, tastes, breathing, etc.

Good luck on your journey. You CAN do this!

i can speak for myself here... i was a Camel Silver (had to crush... love the menthol) lover for years then switched to vaping...
started out using the disposable ones from 7-11 just because at work i had a lot of shifts where i worked solo and couldnt get out for a smoke so it was just a way of gettin my nic fix

got my first kit and decided to give up the packs. was successful for about a month then decided to have a crush at my friend's. it tasted TERRIBLE! it just didnt do the trick any more.

so my advice would be to try a week of JUST vaping with a flavor you enjoy then try an analog... if it doesnt do the trick then you know you can vape alone

My wife and I switched about a month ago. The first couple of days we smoked an analogue when we wanted one, probably 5 or 6 a a day. But the more we vaped the worse the analogues tasted. On the 3rd day just couldn't stand the awful taste of cigarettes anymore. My wife carried her partial pack for a few days sort of like a security blanket I guess.

We both smoked 1 to 1/2 packs a day for 40+ years. Didn't really have the desire to quit, but ended up loving vaping. Just go at your own pace. Lots of good information here, don't be afraid to ask questions.

Congratulations and good luck.

Yeah,depending on people,you could go up to 2 weeks with only vaping then a strong urge to smoke one could hit you;

That is when you run to the forum, arms flailing for support :)

By then you will probably be on the market for something better and most will suggest an eGo twist with a vivi nova....but that is just one of your possible futur...for me,I could have stopped everything past that 2 weeks marker (ran out of juice, had no clue support forums existed, had no idea I could buy stuff and get t in a couple days, ordered from China, long story)but then I got my package

Best advice: get more juice right away, those carts you have dont last a full day, stick with us,we will guide you toward ze light!

I agree with all the responses so far. Each less analog is a victory. For me, it only took 4 days to completely ditch the analogs. The worst for me was the morning, it was like I needed a big, fast dose of nicotine that I couldn't seem to satisfy. I'm sure part of it was all in my head, but it did help to make sure I always started the day with a 2.4 carto. From there, I worked hard to remind myself that I was getting the required nicotine dose from the e-cig, and to just put off having that first analog.

One of the big things I struggled with was no longer having the start and end time that comes with an analog -- trying to figure out how many puffs on the e-cig replicated a real cigarette. I remember complaining to a friend that it bugged me that there was no smoke wafting lazily up into the air from the end of the e-cig ...and tongue in cheek, she responded "oh you mean that pretty white stuff that was choking the animals, coating your walls and ceiling with yellow goop, and stinking up your house?"

It's funny how this addiction messes with your mind, but for me that comment was a game-changer. I just laughed and that was the last analog I had!

As with everything, one day at a time with lots of celebratory pats on the back for each small victory! Good luck.

Everybody goes at his own pace.
I was an 2 packs a day smoker for over 25 years, for me it came by itself.
ECF helps a lot, the enthousiasm is absolutly contagious!!!
I remember the first time i really thought i can become a real vaper was one morning when i practiced my morning ritual, you know coffee and cigarette, and i was hasting through the cigarette to start my first vaping session of the day...felt really good...
Don't worry, you will find you're vape ( normally it's not the first kit we get but there are a lot of options) and cigarettes will fade in the past.
I wish you a big success quitting:)

Southridge mall?
I went with the Blu at walgreens instead
That got me to a EGO knockoff
That got me to the Ego twist SHould be in the mail tommorrow
The A&N smoke was nice but pricey
If it doesnt turn out and you dont want to go the internet route
There is a store in Menominee Falls and they got lots of E juice and hardware
and another store in Osh Kosh and Of course one in Sheboygan

Oh and as to quitting smoking?
My sig says like 6 days but before that I was buying one cigarette a day becuase the BLU cigarette kept dying out on me at work. now I am totally free of smokes

I just got into it this Sunday.....so time will tell for me. I still have an open pack of Marlboro 100s in my car, but I haven't even wanted to smoke them. I'd say, just try vaping, get a few different 10 ml bottles of different flavors, and test them out over the week. Right now I've already decided I'm not going to buy a pack of smokes again. I might bum one off someone if my batteries die, just to see if I still like it one day, but I don't really have any urge to pick up a lighter again.

I still go out with my buddies at work during smoke breaks, and today the smell of the smokes just made me sick. A good sign I think. ;)

Good luck!

I agree. I'm not sure what it going on..but when I go out for "smokes" w/ my buddies at work the smell makes me wanna puke. I'm vaping while they smoke of course...but what a strange thing eh?

He's another interesting point. Tonight I made spaghetti..well it tasted different. Much more flavour...more tomato etc. I was very confused..but I'm thinking it's that I've been off analogs for 5 days and maybe I'm tasting what I'm supposed to now? :)
