i can still feel myself wanting a analog medium/to badly anyone else have these urges when you first started out ???? how bout still after you vaped for a a few months????? or did you vape and have a few analogs a day, slowy cutting back until no analogs???
im gettin good vapor off this 510.. i like that ...
these lil buggers get warm ... lol i didnt know id be able to feel the atty heating up like that while holding the cig.
also how long before you should clean/wash the filter in the cart?? like wait till end of each week and pull it out and clean it ? how long do these filters last usually before you replace them?
I haven't gone through all the messages here but I did want to chime in b/c I had a lot of the same problems you are experiencing now and thankfully I found some work-arounds that helped me tremendously in the early weeks of vaping.
I also had the 24mg carts that come with my Janty Dura-C (it's a 510 only it's branded for Janty; the Dura-C is manual whereas the Dura w/o a letter behind it is an automatic). Like someone else said, I keep two at the ready especially if I am at the computer. this way I can switch between them. I also switch between the Janty Dura-C, the Janty Stick, and a separate 801 atomizer (it's the atty that goes into the Janty Stick) connected to a USB PT. The atty on the plain 801 w/ pass-through doesn't seem to get anywhere as hot as the Dura-c/510 but I prefer the light-feel of the Dura-c/510 as opposed to the others but only because I can hold the 510/Dura-c between my teeth if I have to use my hands to key in something on the computer.
With regards to the nicotine cravings not controlled by the pre-filled cartridges, I bought a bottle of 48mg unflavored e-liquid to bump up the nicotine levels. I mixed up my e-liquid to make it a bit stronger until my body acclimated to the lower mg strengths.
My worst cravings come first thing in the morning, around noon, and late at night before I lay down and not to mention when I get upset or flat out ...... off. MOF, I tend to chain smoke when I'm ...... off. Even now with the e-cigs, I keep a spare bottle mixed up with stronger than normal nicotine levels to get me through those times when I am angry. It's done a great job at preventing me from knocking my DH's head off his shoulders or contemplating spousicide when he starts pushing my buttons just b/c he knows which ones to push that will tick me off. I don't know why he does this but my MIL told me once that the middle brother does the same thing with his wife so maybe it's genetic. Either way, my DH knows he can only push me so far before I blow and if I blow I'm apt to be tossing his clothes on the front lawn.

LOL!
I think if you buy a bottle of the stronger nic-quid and add it to one of your flavored e-liquids you might find it easier to get over those heavy cravings and if you are like me and use nicotine as a way to calm and relax through stressful times when it takes everything you've got and nicotine to keep you from going up like Chernobyl it can help.
I bump my e-liquids to between 38mg to 40mg. After going through one to two cartridges of the higher nicotine doses I can usually go about my business without losing my temper or being grouchy from lack of my regular pre-vaping days of nicotine amounts.
The first 10 days after I began using my e-cig I was supplementing with 1 -3 analogs a day until I figured out I could bump up the nicotine dose w/ unflavored nicotine used to cut others or mix your own liquids. Once I bumped up the nic dose I did well and haven't had an analog since. I started on July 7th and by about the 15th, I was going all day and night without the analogs as supplements. I had gradually dropped from the 1-3 to 1-2 to 1 and then c-cig only.
Hope this helps.
PS: The constant PV use is referred to as pacifying. I think we all go through that phase until our bodies adjust to the change and when it does, we can walk away from keeping the PV out at all times until we are back to our previous smoking tobacco cig habit time frames only many, myself included, find that given enough time we are not vaping nearly as much as we smoked and we are able to lower the need for high-dose nicotine levels in the e-liquid. I can get by on 24mg as a rule w/ exception to my biggest craving times - again 1st thing in the morning, noon, and at night, which coincides with before & after meals and then too when we are under stress or angry about something...
