I'll tell ya, though, besides my 510 adapter issue and the stupid Chinese battys, MAN the Protege is my very favorite of all time. It's really everything I thought it would be. LOVE it. Gonna be so nice to not worry about battys all day long. Just bring one spare batty and a spare atty and juice when gone all day instead of 500 different things. lol It really is nice you guys. Seriously, compare this to like the SD, there is NO comparison in quality. The SD end cap coil thing is so flimsy and this one is so nice and strong and heavier. This is a much better quality device for less than half the price of the SD. It's really a beauty. Size is just awesome.

Sorry for hijacking your whole forum tonight, Steve, but you knew how long I waited for this thing, and you know me, I'll be all over the place spewing. It's just incredible! Thank you for building such a great/quality device for us! Just what I've always wanted, something small, quality, button can't fire off easy, and it can use protected battys (except when China screws up). lol

Now, about that Y? lol

From what I've seen, the true Joye 510 attys that Puresmoker sells have a different thread depth than pretty much any other. They work fine on the adapter as-is, but others require adjustment of the center post. Rita had the same problem when she got her Prodigy... most of her attys were from other sources. I sold her some of mine :)

The center post on the adapter. When you take the adapter off, there's brass inside the steel. Then there's a black ring around another piece of brass. That's the post.
I was so happy when I got my order yesterday but I can't use anything.
I don't have the tool to get the post the middle thing to move. I have the 510 adapter and it doesn't work. I just ordered a stainless steel adapter order #20614 so can you adjust this to fit my 510 atomizers. I ordered the usb passthrough and protege and I can't use either because this adapter that came with the usb passthrough doesn't work. I am so unhappy. Sent in a ticket and I need to get another 510 adapter for the usb passthrough. I tell you one thing the protege is one very nice looking piece and I'm sure once I get it going I will be one happy camper.

That doesn't sound good :(

It seems strange that these attys don't fit the adapters yet I haven't heard of anyone having trouble with them fitting the standard batts. Steve mentioned the center post was lengthened to prevent this kind of problem

Where did you get your atomizers from?

Here's the thing with the center posts-

EVERY single adapter is tested before it goes out with one of the 510 attys that we sell. We can tap the post up a bit more, but there's no guarantee that it will be perfect for the 510 atomizer that you're using. It really doesn't take much to tap the post- do you have maybe a wrench or some sort of tool that's a bit heavy? I tapped one down using a pen cap (broke off that little pocket hanging piece) and the head of a wrench. Let me know if you can't do this, and then we'll have to have you send it back to us to tap it up.

Hi Casey, it's not a matter of "tapping" it now, like I said the whole thing is loose and wiggles all around and I can't get it to stay steady in there. Steve said to send you a PM and you'll send another and I can send this one back. I have an atty order in with you guys that hasn't been sent yet, and you could put the adapter in there and maybe tap it for me a bit more before sending and then I could send you this one back. It's a mess now and I can't get it to stop wiggling around. Let me know so I can give you order numbers and it won't cost you on shipping.

Mine wiggles also. I just push it with my finger and it pops out. Put the atomizer in and the whole thing moves around. Must be a defect.

Hmmm yes that is what mine is doing and I don't think it's supposed to. My 901 adapter doesn't do that. It's in there firm. This one is all lose and can actually fall out with the touch of my finger.

Are the attys you test them with genuine joyes?

Sounds like a lot of wiggly adapters out there. Haven't got mine yet - starting to get a bit worried 8-o

I ordered the bare bone protege and the usb passthrough and the 510 adapter I got with the usb passthrough. Thought I'd try it out first with the usb adapter but since I can't I ordered the stainess steel one and am waiting on info for exchange of the one I got yesterday with the pt.
