So I finally got my ultimatum kit yesterday! I am absolutely in heaven! It is so nice not to have to troubleshoot my cig every time I need a fix. I came from a Smoking Everywhere 4081 and that thing was a nightmare compared to the VK.
I am going to be completely 100% honest with this review. Here is the rundown of my experience thus far:
Waited around yesterday checking the mailbox (which is down the street from my house) every 1/2 hour after 12:00.
Had to go pick up my son from school at 2. Checked the mailbox on my way back from picking him up and.... IT WAS THERE!!!!!
I was sooo stoked, but my son just got back from outdoor ed and was feeling very talkitive, so I talked to him for about an hour about his excellent first experience spending more than a day away from home without mom and dad. I kind of felt bad though because as I was talking to him all I could think about was my new toy.
Finally "mom" came home from work, so he had to tell the whole story to her, meanwhile I snuck away to open my little package of joy. I opened it up and was just blown away by all the goodies! Love the carts and juice hookup. Steve has got to be the nicest business owner on the planet! We need more people like him in the world.
I whipped out the white battery and threw on a Peanut Butter Cup cart and took my first puff. Eh, it was OK. Took another puff, not too bad. Took yet another puff.... now that's what I'm freakin talking about
A huge cloud of vapor poured from my lips.
I have to admit that I was a bit thrown off by the flavor at first. It is quite a bit different than the JC that I was used to through my 4081. So I decided to try the Pineapple, Peach, and Blueberry. Though good, they were still very different than what I was used to.
I finally threw the PBCup back on and it quickly began to grow on me. I am now in love with the PBCup flavor. All of the other flavors that I originally tried taste really good now too! I guess it just took a little period of flavor adjustment, for me at least. The only one that I am not completely sold on is the blueberry, but that is my fiancé's favorite. Go figure
The draw on the VK is almost identical to a real cig, which I have been kind of missing. The draw on the 4081 was much more difficult. The VK has a very light draw, yet still produces tons of vapor. LOVE IT!
Battery life is very nice on the VK! One fully charged battery lasted me about 6 hours and I was puffing on it pretty regularly last night. I am finding it very difficult to put this thing down. Gonna have to work on that a bit. The batteries are very good looking as well. The pictures on the website really do not do these things justice. I got the silver and the white, they were out of black, and so far the white is my fav though they are both very nice looking.
Cartridge time is out of this world! I have been mainly sucking on the PBCup and it is still going really strong. I think that I am actually puffing on it more than I normally would because Steve hooked me up with some other flavors in the liquid that I really want to try. You the man Steve! You are right, I am definitely smilin
I just wish the Peanut Buttery goodness would end so that I could try one of the other liquids, LOL.
The case is a pretty standard PV case and is almost identical to the one I bought for my 4081, except for the VK logo on the TOP of it. Yes top is capitalized and I am very grateful that the logo is there and that it is on the top. You have no idea how many times I opened up my case for my 4081 and everything fell out because I opened upside down. You see, there was nothing on my old case to distinguish from top and bottom.
I have not tried the PCC yet, but it is very well constructed and seems like the perfect device for when I am on the go or traveling. It will fit a battery and 2 carts with their rubber covers on. Oh, that reminds me.....
I love the rubber covers on the carts! It makes it very easy to swap out different carts and not have to worry about them drying out or getting full of crud.
The passthrough is absolutely incredible! At first I was a little worried because my laptop kept giving me a "USB current draw exceeded" warning. I tried it again this morning and all is good. Could have something to do with the fact that at the time I was charging a battery, the PCC, and had a multitude of external drives hooked up to my machine. Anyway, like I said, tried it again this morning and whoooaaaa! I love the amount of vapor you get when using the passthrough. Very nice!
Let's see.... anything else.... I think that's about it.
Conclusion:
The VK is incredible, Steve is awesome, and I am now a Vapor4Life! I have seriously found my last PV, and the company that I will go to for parts and accessories. Like I said, there was a very short period of adjustment for the flavor, but now it's better than good... it's delicious! The PBCup tastes exactly like a real Peanut Butter Cup. This thing is easy to use, virtually trouble free, and allows me to spend much more time typing on forums when I really should be working
Anyway, sorry about the book, but I hope this helps anyone out that may be on the fence about the VK.
