Charging my batteries atm, can't wait to try it out at 5 and 6 volts. I haven't tried 6 v but I have a 5 v pt and so far is my favorite vape. Kinda wish I had sprung for extra batteries but if I can get the power of my passthrough on the go with this device I will be one happy camper. Now I'm going to try some HV juices. I decided to go with the xhaler after about a month of researching hv devices because I wanted something I could use at 5v if 6v too much for me. The options and price seemed like the best value to me. Good size and fits well in hand. Thanks to all who posted on this site to help me make my decision and thanks to all those at nhaler.com

Been puffing away on it for a couple of hours now and I must say I am very pleased with the performance. I have been using my 901 std attys and they seem to be working very well at 5v. I am now starting to wish I had ordered more 3.0v batteries. Can I buy these batteries at a place like radio shack or should I strictly order them from nhaler? Only problem I ran into was trying to use a 510 adapter and 510 atty, for some reason it wouldn't fire reliably.

Orko cangrats on the Xhaler. you will enjoy it. But need to tell ya something if you dont already know.
being your liking the 5volt Drew came out with Low resistance attys (510) 1.5 ohms resistance. Now if you just put in one 3.7volt battery and use the Low res atty it similates 5 volts of vape. we are all loving it. Plus using 1 battery it lasts so much longer therefore all day on 1 battery. also they you wouldnt need to stack batteries by getting two 3 volt batteries. Believe me the vapor and throat hit with a Low Res atty and a 3.7v is golden.
But if you insist on using two 3 volt batts and vaping 5v or 6 volts use the 4.5 atty and that will kick your .... some.
anyway welcome to the Xhaler world and best of luck with your new friend. read the Xhaler posts and get some noalox and use it once or so a week. its on the forums taking care and maintenance of the Xhaler. Good Luck

RadioShack doesn't carry RCR123's, but they do have non-rechargeable 3V CR123's but they cost more than Drew charges for rechargeables and a charger.

There are several other retailers that do carry these batteries, but I would avoid using any that are not "protected" because there is a risk of failure/explosion when you stack lithium batteries like this.

Speaking of Noalox...I suspect that a little on the threads might help with the problem Orko mentioned with the 510 adapter. Not only does it seem to lubricate the physical joint, the antioxidant should make a better electrical connection as well.

If you don't have any yet, trust me when I say that Noalox is the best $2 you'll ever spend at Home Depot. Drew, I wonder if Noalox is something you could keep in stock for people (read: Home Depot employees) who can't find it in the store.

yup. I asked like 6 people, all of them were clueless. I looked around for about 15 minutes, then found it down on the bottom.. in a red cardboard box.. I paid 4.50 or so for a 4 oz bottle, which is 10x more than I should EVER need. it makes a HUGE difference, both on the thread smoothness and on the conductivity.
