My hubby & I were at the mall 2 days ago and happened upon the Smoking Everywhere kiosk. We had never even heard of e-cigs.. so of course "I" fell into the trap.. thinking what a great idea this was (after wishing for years that I could quit smoking "real" cigs) but not knowing there were other places to get (better) e-cigs for SO much less than I forked over to Smoking Everywhere! :( Fortunately hubby (though he liked the idea) decided to "think" about getting one for himself for a day or two and see how I liked mine. I was balking at the price, and was pushed into taking a "special deal" for $160 he would throw in an extra 3 boxes of
cartridges (5 per box) which I was told 1 cartridge ='s 1 to 1 1/2 packs of "real" cigs... which I learned after 1 day was total bull  So... with a "no return" policy I seem to be "stuck" with this e-cig.
Does anyone know if I can refill these smoking everywhere cartridges using the liquids? From a few videos I've watched it looked like the cartridges that are being refilled have some sort of a fiber inside of them to hold liquid... but the cartridges for the smoking everywhere are just a plain plastic tube, and no fiber or fabric inside? Not even sure if I can use the "drip" method on their Atomiser? Not totally understanding all the details on refilling the cartridges or using the dripping... I JUST KNOW I DON'T WANT TO FORK OUT ANOTHER DIME TO THIS RIP-OFF COMPANY!!!

My hubby still "wants" to do the e-cig thing... and is now asking me to find out what he should get. I'm thinking of the 901 and juice for him... but do I just forget totally about the smoking everywhere and buy another e-cig for myself... or try and get at least some of what I paid out of the smoking everywhere? Just so mad that I got taken!

Would be so grateful for any advice/help with this!!

Do you guys have the equivalent of "Trading Standards" over there? I presume you are in the USA.

Basically if you have been sold a product and the seller has missguided you by saying "these carts are the equivalent of a pack and a half" when in reality they are more like 4-5 cigs then that is "False Advertising"

Personally, I would go back with all the goods and demand a refund otherwise you would be reporting the incident to the appropriate authorities. Don't let these ...... constantly get away with ripping you guys off.

901's are well recommended to start off with around these forums. Good value, carts easy to top off etc, drip smoke well and spares are readily available.

Sorry to hear of your open wallet surgery.

I was almost in the same boat as you. I too was at a mall recently and I saw one of the Smoking Everywhere kiosks. Luckily, the guy running the kiosk was somewhat of a jerk and totally alienated me from buying/trying his product.

The upside to the story is that it brought you here (as it did me). I just placed my first order with puresmoker dot com (can't post full urls yet because I don't have enough posts). I did quite a bit of research in the last few days, and I decided to try working with Steve at puresmoker. He has a lot of people that have given him good reviews and his prices seem to be reasonable. The other thing I liked about him is his streightforwardness about how many cigarettes you can realistically replace with a cartridge. There are a number of companies referenced by different people on this site. If you spend some time looking around, you should be able to get a good idea of who it would be wise to buy from.

Thanks spyderuk - I think I just might take all of their "stuff" back and at least give them a piece of my mind about all the lies they told me... even if it doesn't get me any of my money back! With their "no refund" policy sign I really should have known to think twice... and even with the lies about how long a cartridge would last... I don't know what I would need to go through to get a refund, since it seems I agreed to the "no refund" in the first place. I do know there are plenty of other things I can do that might "hurt" their biz... by posting a "beware" notice on our local Craigslist. The only "good" thing I can say about Smoking Everywhere is that they WILL probably make a huge number of people aware that there IS actually such a thing as an e-cig... and they might do the research first (like I should have done) so if there is a plus to it all... that would be it. ;)
I am still very grateful that I do (now) know there are e-cigs to replace regular cigs... and I AM very determined to make this work for me after smoking for over 30 years! :thumb:

Thanks Biscuit! I'm SO glad that you didn't fall for it... BUT that it did lead you to this forum :D Even though I do feel very ripped off... I AM grateful that I found my way here... and will ultimately be able to quit smoking --even if it started out on the wrong foot! I've been looking at puresmoker and also ElectronicCigaretteSales so far after doing some reading.. and I think either of them will be great to work with. I'm still going to spend another few days reading before I make a decision this time. So many choices to make... and just so glad that I can make a better one this time around... thanks to all of the super info provided here! ;):thumb:

Mixxy I wish you luck with this. There are laws to protect consumers against this sort of thing. How they work in the States I do not know but it is a big thing in the UK.

You say this kiosk was in a mall? Maybe you could take the matter up with the mall managers and inform them of how they are missleading customers with their overpriced products.

Also, were they advertising the E-cig as NRT?

Edit. Alternativley. I would personally take a packed lunch, flask of coffee and a chair and sit by the kiosk directing all would be customers to this forum and advise them to avoid smokingeverywhere's overpriced products. After they have lost out on a few possible sales maybe they will refund you to get you out of there way!

I can be a stubborn ...!

Mixxy, welcome to ecf, sorry that happened to you but yeah, this forum is an awesome place for info on these things.

I was lucky when one of the guys i work with came in to work one day with one. We'd always had discussions on quitting while have a smoke outside.
I researched and found this place first.

I ordered from Katy at www.thesmokelessshop.com (MI) but have read nothing but good about www.puresmoker.com (CA), which may be your best place to order from since you are on the west coast (shorter shipping times). I'm sure there are other good suppliers too. Somewhere there is a thread that lists recommended suppliers, would link to it but can't find it right now.

Wherever you order from, once you get it, check back here for help, advice whatever. I have smoked 20 - 30 cigs a day for 30 years. Since getting my 901 last Tuesday i have prob smoked no more than 2 -3 analogs and yesterday had my first smoke free day in a long time.

Good luck, expect to see you around here in the future :D.

It's funny because I was in the casino one night and a guy brought in some e cigs and I thought it was such a great concept that I bought one. It was a Smoking Everywhere cig too. What a piece of crap it was. Well it made me very curious and I started researching and wound up here. I then bought a penstyle from smartfixx and it was better but not great. I think it had a 2 hole atomizer because it was like sucking a milkshake from a straw. So then I really stepped up my research because I really wanted and needed this to work for me. I have since purchased my new e cigs from puresmoker.com and have been smoke free since. I would try to take that e cig back and invest in a good more reliable product and company. Good luck to you. Dont give up!!

I think a lot of first experiences with e-smoking happen kind of like that. I went in blind and ordered my first "kit" of 2 e-cigs from eBay. A week later, one atomizer was toast, the other was on the ropes and the 15 carts that came with the kit were dry. I got a bottle of e-liquid from Johnson Creek, thinking it would last a month... my error, there. Now I have at least 2 bottles in stock at all times!
Whatever happened, I realize that, yes, I did stumble around and bang into some bad deals along the way, but I'm not smoking analogs any longer!
Since then, I found this haven for e-cig enthusiasts and read posts until my eyes got sore. As most of the posters here agree, the e-cig itself is still "new" and evolving. Sometimes you get lucky and buy a really good puffer - other times, well, not so hot.
All in all, even the rook deals helped get me to start a much heathier life. For that, I am thankful, no matter what the cost. :)

Wait... so there's no absorbent material inside the cartridges? It's just an empty plastic tube?
That's just a mouthpiece. The guy sold you a bunch of empty cartridges. The whole point of the cartridge is to contain nicotine liquid inside an absorbent material.

So to answer your question, no, you can't refill those carts. I would contact the mall where he works. Screw that guy. Just so you don't completely quit though, e-smoking for real costs about half as much as what you paid. For half as much you could get a nice generic set, 20 carts, and two bottles of juice and smoke for 2 weeks.

Mixxy I am sorry to hear your story. I also saw a kiosk that got my attention to e-cigs. I was ready to buy until I heard the price. Since I didnt know anything about them I came home to research and found this forum. Which has been great. You can try to go back to the mall although I doubt you will get any money back. Either way just think you have possibly finally found the way to quit analogue cigs and there is really no price that can be set on that. In the end it will hopefully be worth it for you.

I purchased a 901 deluxe kit from Katys at the www.smokelessshop.com. I have been so happy with the product and her service. I have since purchased several items from her as well as puresmoker.

gep,
Your link isn't working.
My experience was in Las Vegas, ran into 2 of their carts. Thought it was a great idea, but didn't jump in til I got home and ordered from them on line.
The cart guys wanted $200, and I ordered from the Smoking Everywhere site for $150.
I think I'm just stuck with it.
It doesn't smoke correctly, meaning you have to suck your lungs out to get anything. Even tried filling it with juice.
I did order the penstyle from Steve at PureSmoker and it's a world of difference.
Guess I'll just mark it up to stupidity and take the loss. Hope other people come here first and learn before jumping in with them.

Mixxy you should be able to refill those carts (if you are unable to take it back) pop of the cartridge and look inside there should be a little plastic piece that looks wet. Also make sure your not using the cart that comes on it out of the box, that is just an empty cart to make it look good. (I learned that the first time I got mine:lol:)

If you can take the boxset back then by all means screw those guys! Order from puresmoker.com Once it ships it only takes about a day or so to get to my house here in Cali. I'm about to make my 3rd purchase from Steve, he is honest and freindly as hell. Rare these days. :)

If I were you I would return all the stuff he sold you right back to them.
Did you pay with a credit card?
If they are giving you a hard time and refuse a refund, I would talk to my bank.
I would also say to the salesman, if he will not give you a refund you will complain to management at the mall.
I would talk to management at the mall and tell them about their scam.
I'm sure management will not be happy to hear about that, it will give their mall a bad name.

I did a similar thing, though online. Read about e-cigs on some gadget web site. In the comments someone says their brother is selling something like that. I bite. Got a supermini, not the best choice, and some problems and unresponsiveness. I'm chalking it up to a lesson learned. Their product DID turn me onto this, and I'm happy with that.

What a great bunch you are... thank you all SO much for the welcomes, suggestions & your advise. :D Even though I'm still feeling pretty taken by Smoking Everywhere -- I'm just using the darn thing until I can get a replacement... but won't be buying more of their cartridges when they are gone. I do volunteer dog grooming at the local shelter across town on Monday, so didn't make it back to the mall... but planning to go tomorrow, as well as call the main company at the number on their web site. They advertise right on their web site that one cartridge is equivalent to 20 traditional cigs -- so I don't have much hope of getting support from mall by telling them the guy at the kiosk lied to me etc. I know what really makes me angry is the fact that I told the pushy guy at the kiosk that I wanted to go home and research online first about e-cigs... and of course he talked me out of that... so is my own fault.

So... just going to do a little more reading here... and then do some shopping to get hubby & I some of the "good" stuff. :thumb: I have noticed that I'm starting to enjoy using the e-cig more than my regular cigs (still had 1/2 a carton when I bought it) so I'm liking that... and I used the e-cig in the car today and it was so nice not to have to roll down the car window to "smoke"! :D

mixxy,

I am truly sorry to hear about your misfortune with Smoking Everywhere. Experiences like that give all of the good suppliers here a bad name, and make e-Smoking look like a scam. It truly aggravates me.

The advice that you got from all of the nice people who posted here seems totally 100% right on. I sincerely doubt that you can go wrong with any of the suppliers here. Everyone here is like a big family and I like to think that we all look out for one another.

I hope that your future e-Smoking endeavors turn out much better than your first impression, and I wish you good luck!

Can anyone confirm what "Smoking Everywhere" are selling? They look similar to a DSE103 to me, like this DSE103 mini e-cigarette - Ruyandirect.com Best E-smoking Shop (note the price difference!)

As for refilling the cartridges, might they have an inner cartridge in the plastic tube that you can pop out? I've not got that exact model but some of the similar ones, you can push out the inner cartridge by pushing a paperclip through the hole in the mouthpiece. Without some sort of material to hold the liquid it wouldn't work at all.
