Got the new Titan, BUT...

When I plug it in to the charger (slim) it blinks three times normally, then blinks three times very slowly, but the light on the charger stays green, but if I twist it a little more it turns red. I know its a problem with the battery and not the charger or anything because when I press the button once (manual) the led turns on and stays lit for a couple seconds but it doesn't fade on or off like they normally do, just straight on or off, and it doesn't produce vapor at all. When I hold the button the led stays lit but it flashes a little every few seconds.
Does anyone know what this means? I've never had a problem really before so I don't know how to fix these things. Can it be fixed, or did I just get a bad battery? /:

I contacted v4l about it but its the weekend, and I'm impatient, I just want to show it off haha.

Hi brittneyyann! Sorry I don't have an answer for you; I've never heard of this kind of problem. Just wanted to bump the post for you and let you know that someone will eventually come along that may be able to answer. It does sound like the battery is the issue....

Actually I have seen this! Are you using it on a tank? I was telling Morandir about this on one my new manual stealths the other day. It works on one tank all the time and only part time on the other. He thought it may be due to the ohms on one tank. Try it on a regular cool or wow cart if you haven't already.

I just tried it on both carts and a tank and it still just lights up, no fade, but doesn't produce vapor. ):

I hope it isn't just defective or something, but I'm thinking it might be since even the led isn't right. I don't know much about this, so I could be wrong. On the plus side, if I do happen to just need a replacement in the end, shipping is usually ridiculously fast so it won't be that long.

Wait....when it stays Red...are you leaving it in until it turns Green? Red means it is charging...please tell me you left it on the charger until the charge light turned Green. (Approx. 2 hours)

It sounds like it needs charging.....that's all.

The threads on the Stealth and Diamonds series are .003 mm (i'm just making that number up)taller than standard batteries. So they generally do need an extra 1/4 turn to make contact with the post and start charging.

Plug the charger in....LED indicator light is green....screw in battery..battery LED flashes 3 times and the charger indicator light turns red......when the battery is charged..charger light changes from red to green.

For future reference, it is recommended to attach the battery to the charger first, then plug it in the wall socket, the same goes for removing the battery after charging. Remove the charger from the wall socket first, then unscrew the battery.

When I first got it, I put it on the charger and screwed it until it turned red and left it until it turned green. I don't know why its still turned red now considering I haven't used it since its last full charge.
I know it can blink without a connection being made, I was describing how unusual the led was blinking because I thought it may help find a solution to the problem.

Well...let's see if we can get your battery working, that is priority one. Is it in the charger and is the charger LED red right now?

Oddly enough a dead battery, will not trip the LED the light will just stay green.

Yep, just put it on there a couple of minutes ago. I figured I'd let it charge up another time and see if that'll do it.

I'll feel pretty silly if it just needs to be charged. Maybe it was bumped and it unscrewed a bit? Either way, I hope this works.

Snow: great info on screwing in and then plugging in, unplugging and then unscrewing. Been wondering about this myself. Curious as to what the electrico-chem at play here is, but either way I take your word for it!

For a lot of rechargers that come with directions it is stated that way. But it was actually Morandir that really brought this issue under the spotlight.....so any accolades should go his way.
