Some medical definitions for you (from Mayo Clinic):

1. Sometimes the terms "reactive airway disease" and "asthma" are used interchangeably. Often, the term "reactive airway disease" is used when asthma is suspected, but not yet confirmed.

2. Bronchitis is an inflammation of the lining of your bronchial tubes, which carry air to and from your lungs. People who have bronchitis often cough up thickened mucus, which can be discolored. Bronchitis may be either acute or chronic.
  • Often developing from a cold or other respiratory infection, acute bronchitis is very common. Chronic bronchitis, a more serious condition, is a constant irritation or inflammation of the lining of the bronchial tubes, often due to smoking.
  • Acute bronchitis usually improves within a few days without lasting effects, although you may continue to cough for weeks. However, if you have repeated bouts of bronchitis, you may have chronic bronchitis, which requires medical attention. Chronic bronchitis is one of the conditions included in chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD)
vape related? Hard to say. Could be due to a new flavoring you tried.

You told us who you usually buy from. Before folks get overly confused as to what is happening can you tell us who the different supplier is you bought from? Did you buy both flavorings and nic from them?

It could be something as something as simple as a specific flavoring that doesn't agree with you or something more serious as a vender sending you something other than what you ordered.

More information is definitely necessary before any kind of advice can be given.

I would contact them and let them know what is going on and would have thrown it away. I hope you are no longer vaping it. Sadly, if something is cheaper than anyone else, you have to question why.

I have bought from Wizardlabs, RTS and myfreedomsmokes and all have been good clean nic. There are other reputable venders.

I have seen some good prices offered on hardware from that company but there is just something that seem off to me. I always try to pay attention to that wee small voice that tells me something just isn't right.

I truly do hope that no permanent damage has been done and you will be in tip top shape soon.

One possibility is it's a coincidence. Another possibility is one of your liquids has something bad in it that somehow made you sick. Do you still have the suspect liquid? Is there a lab that might test it for you? I've asked in discussion, more than once if anyone has heard a report of anybody anywere any time who has an illness caused by using ecigs. So far I've found nothing. If vaping made you sick you would be the first I know about. I would say if your liquids don't have contamination that could cause your problem then it's a coincidence.

Another thing occurs to me. If contaminated liquid is the issue and if it came from a source that sells to vapers then you probably aren't the only one who got bad product so some more people with similar reactions should turn up.

For me and many others chest pain, tightness, shortness of breath / difficulty breathing is caused by vaping high VG liquids.
For me around a dozen puffs of 60% or more VG results in severe discomfort, 80% + VG only takes 2 or 3 puffs.
I meant agree with Topwater

Honestly if your doctor told you no more cigs or vaping anymore I would take it to heart and not mess around. It could just be you became sick with a respiratory infection around the time you switched to a new vendor or it could be the nic was bad it could be the high VG but it really doesn't matter when it comes to your health you should follow what your doctor says.

No one on any forum is qualified in any way to tell you any thing differently then what your doctor has told you to do.

My daughter had bronchitis pretty bad twice since we started vaping. Not bad enough to be hospitalized, but bad enough to miss a week's work each time. She had gotten bronchitis several times while we were smoking, before we quit and started vaping. Both times since vaping she was using a cinnamon-heavy eliquid. One was a Snickerdoodle flavor that she loved, from a vendor that we had been using since we started vaping. I can't remember right now what the other one was, but it was from a different vendor. Again, she really liked the flavor. It could just be coincidence, but it is strange that both times she got sick since we have been in California, she was vaping cinnamon-centered eliquid. My personal take on it is that she got run down due to stress and workload, and the cinnamon-centered eliquid was the last straw. We both have allergies, and she is gluten-sensitive, so I am of the opinion that sensitivities come into play somewhere.

She has not had any problems recently, but, then again, I am very careful about what I order for her. When we are trying a new vendor, I tend to avoid cinnamon-heavy eliquids when I am getting something for her to try. Once we have ordered a couple of times, I lay down the law, and tell her to check the website so she can let me know what she wants, instead of me trying to guess what she might enjoy.

Did you change anything else before you got sick? Flavorings, recipe tweaks, new equipment, etc.?

Three points:

1.
Vendors are popping up like flys, they are everywhere. Personally I ignore most of them and go with trusted vendors I have used and have been around for a long time. I don't take chances with nicotine or batteries. I have a couple of trusted sources for each and that's it. Price is NEVER a factor for me when buying batteries or nicotine.

2.
I smoked one to one and a half packs a day for almost 50 years. I used to have lots of colds and bad chest colds at least twice a year. I have NOT had one single cold or chest cold in the 3 years I have been vaping.

3.
I probably average 5 to 7 mls a day, vaping. Like anything else if vaping is over done it can cause problems. Water is good for you but even drinking water to extreme quantities can be dangerous.
