Hahaha ok ok, now just asking I got the syringe in, do I fill it to the brim or is there a cut off part to fill it to, I got one side of it filled to the white inner fill plug *with the holes in it for filling* and other side has a lil air bubble

thats fine, dont over fill it, there is no need, it can be just under the cup and that is fine.

Krispers. the beauty of the clear CE2 is that you can see exactly how much you are putting in it. It won't take you long to learn what works best for you.

yeah, I like that feature and I just figured out what the feel difference is between omh's I got the 2.6-2.8 I believe....I love how warm the vapor is instead of the old plain air feeling

I'm a sissy and that resistance is a wee bit hot for me and my brand of juice. We all like things different and fortunately, several different resistances are available from GotVapes.

Well... I finally got my 510 XL Flux's clear/clear (2.6-2.8ohm) in the mail yesterday and am giving them a spin.

I'm not by any means a reviewer. I'm just a normal Joe that wants that perfect vape like everyone else. I'm just letting all of you know what my brief experience is with these new Flux carto's is. Nothing more nothing less. And I hope it helps some of you in some way.

The 2 units I am using both ohm''d out at exactly at 2.8

First impressions -
I'm so use to my E2 syringe mods that the diameter of these guys looked funny as first, but I love the fact that I can now use the cone on my Ego with them. It also makes me feel a little safer knowing that the cone will act like a support in case I bump the carto. I don't want a hand/lap full of juice if these little guys do in fact pop off the threaded base as easily as others have found.

I did a quick dry burn to both of them before I filled them and I left the small "spill ring" (the second ring) off after I filled them.
Much to my dismay my one and only (old friend) drip tip doesn't fit into these little guys so I opted to try the soft rubber black tip that came with them. These tips aren't bad at all. They feel a little funny because they are so tiny in diameter and the air hole is small as well so it does change the draw a little. But all in all they're not bad.

The rubber hits the road -
(Using both my 3.7v SB and 3.2v Ego)
I wanted to try these straight out of the box (as we all do and should) before I did any tweaking so I didn't mess with the cup ring. It did look like it was awful tight where it enters the cup though.
Ok... I filled these both with some 70/30 Maxboro juice (very light colored) and put a small drop from the syringe straight onto the coil area and gave them a few seconds to wick. I think waiting longer is a waist of time. If they are going to wick they are going to wick as soon as they are completely wet.

The first hits (as expected) were a little dry but no burnt taste. After giving it a few more seconds I took a few more hits and these little guys started to come to life.
The vapor was warm but not too hot and the vapor production was pretty good as well (3/5). Because of the flavor of juice I got a great TH (4/5) and the flavor was probably a 4/5.

During the course of last nights vapping I did hit a few dry spots once in awhile especially chain vapping. But over all they seemed to vape consistently.

That was last night. This morning was a different story however. For some reason I immediately started to get a dry nasty taste even though it was half full. I kept tipping it upside down to ensure it was getting juice but even that didn't seem to help. So I went ahead and reluctantly tweaked the cup ring by pulling it up just a little to give the wick a little more room. That did the trick and the juice flavor was back but now I'm getting a little juice in the mouth. I put the second ring back in to see if that would help but it's still spitting once in awhile. I think it's flooding the coil area and coming out that way. I'll have to tweak with it a little more and see if I can find a happy medium I guess. One other thing I have found is that by pulling the cup ring up a little and then putting the second ring back in there's barley enough room to fit the rubber mouth piece on and it will pop off if you bump it.

Bottom line -
These little guys aren't half bad! IMHO they're not the Holy grail that we all are looking for but so far I think I'll be using these exclusively to see how they do in the long run. Like someone has already stated, E2's are pretty robust and can last a good long time if taken care of properly.

Edit: BTW... Do the colored clear drip tips that I have on back order from Gotvapes fit these clear Flux's carto's? Anyone???

I like using the cone with it, just bothers me slightly having the 2 inches hanging from the top of the cone, someone should get their kid in metal shop to make us all longer cones :p

Better yet, we need a C-E2 made specifically for an eGo. Who knows what great things will be in store for us in the future of this fast changing world.

I posted this in a different thread, but I thought I would post it here too.

Just got mine from Gotvapes today. I filled 7 with my favorite flavors. I do not own a syringe with a needle yet, so I carefully took the seals out. You have to be careful taking the bottom seal out, by gingerly lifting the inner edge in a circular motion until it works loose. 2 out of 7 were really seated tight on there, and I actually destroyed the first one. I just grabbed an extra from my old ce2 stash and it went on fine.

After filling straight from my bottles while angling the carto, and dripping juice down there I replaced the cap, but kept it slightly higher than it was before. once I pushed the flat ring, and the rubber mouth piece back in, It wicked well, with zero burnt taste.

My opinion is that the factory is putting those seals in a little tighter than necessary, so much so that it really is restricting wicking action. I actually accidentally got one back to factory tight, and noticed it when I vaped, with a burning or plasticy taste, but as soon as I lifted it slightly the taste went away. It is an important balance between a hole big enough to let the wick do its thing, and the hole smalll enough as to not allow juice to leak.

The filled fluxomizers are all laying on their side and have been that way for a couple of hours and so far, no leaking.

I have been using 2 egos with the 2.6 to 2.8 ohms and they hit nice. Most of these juices are 80%pg . I do not find the vape warm at all and could handle them a little warmer. Too bad I have 40 more of these coming in a coop. Good news is I like them, and I think my wife will be able to quit analogs with these because she is too impatient to tinker with ecigs. Too bad she doesnt like one of the 100 or so flavors I have currently. I have a sweet tooth and she hates it.

I am finding most of my flavors are quite accurate, and the ones that had throat hit in an atty had a similar throat hit in these. And my higher vg ones had very good vapor, and similar flavor to a regular 510 atty.

I found that they vaped just fine after filling and priming the coil a little, but at first I was a little dissappointed in the flavor, but 30 minutes later, I had the same amount of vapor but nearly double the flavor. its still not quite like dripping on my lr306 but the flavor is surprisingly good. I am a waffle junkie and all 3 that I enjoy tasted good in these cartos.

My only complaint is the black mouthpiece. I really wish it was slightly beefer as far as the piece that you put into your mouth. Maybe I will get used to them, but I prefer the one that comes inserted in the carto, plus when you put it back in, I feel it pushes the cup cap on right where it should be, without forcing it down so hard to pinch off the wick.
I also feel that the pipettes, although a nice thing to have around, is not necessary to fill these. If you have to take all the seals out, its just as easy to use a juice bottle to fill, as the pipette doesnt really fit down into the chamber because its too big around.

Overall, I am pleased, and really appreciate not having primer to wash out.

I feel my success is by replacing the cup. Those filling with a syringe, and not lifting that seal slightly may actually experience more wicking issues.

I look forward to reading more tips on these. If anyone is interested in trading some lower ohm ones for the 2.6 to 2.8 ones that I have, send me a PM. I should have mine within 10 days or so.

Cheers

Great review and congrats on getting the mod on PIF, you deserved it. I filled mine up with the needle tip given to me, I didnt lift any thing, only stuck it in the holes filled it up and replaced the white ring. I have a habit of putting it straight up and down being ego's flat...i'll try on the side to check for leaks tho.

Thanks Krispers. (reminds me of Krispy Kreme donughts and I love those damn things)

I had trouble with that little needle given with the kit. I am guessing its because I dont have a 1ml syringe to use to put it on, and I could not find a single bottle that it fit snugly on. I had quite a mess the first time I tried using one.

by your post, I am guessing you have had no taste issues with them. If so, I look forward to just filling them with a syringe. I think I will go pick one up at the drug store today. I need a 22 guage is that correct? Can somone confirm this?

im glad your happy, good info all around guys.the improvements seem to be noticed, yes the inner plug needs to be loosened a litle for better wicking action and ill see what they can do about that but so far so good.

I should have searched. I saw your comment about 6 volt device with these. Is 3.5 ohm coming anytime soon ? I really don't want to give up 6 volt vaping.. I am spoiled with 6volt. I even wanted to try 3.2 ohm one with my v3 6volt but all stock's out at this point. I am checking the site constantly. haha.

Oh man.... Now you're talking! THAT would be da chit wouldn't it! I'd guess that puppy would hold 3ml or more if the length were made about half way between the XL and regular lengths and still kept the cone size and shape. Go get'm BR! Tell them to hurry up! lol

once he gets back on I will know when or if the 3.5ohm will be done im fighting for them and will do my best to make that happen.

Are you trying to say you love me haha j/k but yeah I had trouble at first too, it would keep bending but what I did was use tweezers to push it in from close to the hole, THEN put the umm syringe part onto the needle tip and inject. Its filled up sititng on the side I took 2 puffs and its a burnt taste tho. I did put a drop on the coil itself and burned it off at first and then layed it on the side but it has a burnt taste.

Most of mine are 22 guage, but the design calls for a slightly larger 21 guage. Get one with a removable needle assembly. Better yet, take the little plastic one with you and try to get one that it will fit. These needles are too small to draw through very well for filling the syringe, and this type allows you to draw the juice out of a bottle with the needle removed.
