The wicks cant be burnt, in my videos you can see you cant burn the wick no matter what you try, what your seeing is gunk build up from cooking your juice, that can be cleaned off as well with dry burns after you have cleaned them, that is normal. some juices gunk up more then others .

I disagree. I opened a brand new clearomizer and put it on my ego. Hit the button to dry burn it for 3 to 5 seconds and the wick got dark and smoked immediately. There was no juice in the carto at all. I added juice after that and it tastes burnt. My original post got buried so here it is below. If you can give me any information that may help me get these working correctly I would appreciate it.

OK, I must be clearomizer challenged. If anyone can give me a little direction it would be much appreciated.

My issue is a burning filler taste. I know there is no filler but it tastes similar to when a filler carto gets too dry. I use boge cartos normally and I know that taste well from my first few tries using a carto.

Here is what I have done with these so far...

First one:
2.6 - 2.8 510 clearomizer on a standard ego
Removed white cap, used included plastic "needle" on a 3 ml syringe and filled about 3/4 full with a 50/50 PG/VG juice. After that, the juice started dripping out of the battery end so I just stopped filling. I let it sit for a while but the filling process was so slow that the wick was wet long before I was done filling. I fired it up and got the burnt taste with just a hint of the juice flavor.

Second one:
2.8 - 3.0 510 clearomizer on a standard ego
I read some posts here about dry burning these so I tried a dry burn of 3 to 5 seconds and immediately smelled the wick burning. It also turned dark but I thought that might be normal so I continued. Same filling process only this time I used a thinner liquid. 80/20 PG/VG. Again, I only got about 3/4 full before juice started dripping out. Again, I let it sit for a while and the wick was wet. The burning taste is even worse on this one probably due to the dry burn.

I really need these to work correctly for me. I know I am doing something wrong but I'm not sure what. So, before I ruin any more of them, I hope someone can give me some advice here.

The wicks are clean, there might be a tad of pg or vg thats used to insert the plugs which is burning off, which would cause your wick to get dark, they wont stay white as you use them but they can be cleaned off, The wicks cant be burnt in any way and this has been proven in many of the big ce2 threads, the wicks have been tested extensivly. What you can try to alleviate the burnt taste which Fizil posted earlier http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/fo...dible-pricing-ecf-members-56.html#post2436774 , you can remove the inner filling plug and with thin tweezers or a paperclip, pull up on the wick at the slits to lossen/fluff them, then you can place your center plug back in and your mouth peace and forgoe the inner plug for now while you test that, this should alleviate your issue.

give that a try if youd like and see if that helps, let us know how it truns out so we can assist you further.

With my first carto unpacked, I loaded it up and vaped. I got that burnt rubbery flavor. After applying the fix, it's dissipating. Have you tried the fix on a brand new carto then tried it out?

No luck with mine....I took the real dark one from my pic in the last post completely apart, tried to wash the black out of it and the wick just crumbled to peices where the coils wraped around it. So far 4 out of 5 have not tasted right I have lost over 3ml of juice, I let the last one set for 6 hours, hopefully it will work right, I dont want to cut the o ring, I do not want to fluff the whick, I want to put my juice in the....... The first set of ce2's I had bought were 3 ohms and they were way to hot, burning hot. My next order was a set of 2.5s and they seem to be the right fit for my riva 510.

UPDATE: If you have ordered the orange pineapple flux juice we need to advice you not to use it on the clearomizers, just like the atomic cinnacide and cinnabomb it apparently causes hairline cracks and damages the tube. We have contacted the manufacturer & are awaiting an answer. We will contact the customers who have had this issue and handle it accordingly. You can use the Orange pineapple juice in the NON Clear Ce2 with no issues, its one of my fav's.

Another concern is that I dry burned one of the clearomizers and the plastic around the ceramic atty bowed slightly. It was only a couple of short dry burns. It was a cool concept but I'll be sticking with the originals.

(I normally drip but needed something to keep in my suit pocket at work)
Vapes nicely...kind of airy, but ok !
No leakage laying on it's side overnight.
Am going to take it to work today in the pocket to see....
Small note... I am using a diy peppermint, about 60/40...seems to be a lot less peppermint hit..I wonder if the wick is "keeping" my flavor ?
But so far, this is nice !

Just wanted to post about my experience with cleaning one of the FluXomizers.

I rinsed it out with warm water, then soaked it overnight in Pure Grain Alcohol (Everclear), then set it up to dry for 1 1/2 days.

I did a quick dry burn on the coil and loaded it back up with a different juice than what was originally in it and it is working great!

finally, I knew I wasn't crazy. although seriously, if the juices are cracking the plastic, should we be smoking them? I love atomic cinnacide, only thing I've smoked pretty much for the past year, but if it eats through plastic, is that safe?

probably want to get the non clear ones if you going to keep it in your suit pocket. even if you not using the plastic breaking liquids. others have said the tubes can pop off. that would suck to have 1.8ml of fluid leaking out on you suit.

YAY! Got my first pack of clears today with some Orange Pineapple juice. Can't use the juice unfortunately, but I'm test out the clears with some of my tropical punch mix.
First impressions: Right out of the pack I pulled the fill ring fluffed up the wick and stuck the rubber mouth piece from the pack in. Filled, primed the coil and hit it. No burnt taste, but no flavor either. Can't use my delrin drip tip, it's too big. These are not only thinner on the inner diameter of the tube, but they're also not as tall. The black rubber tip fits nicely down to the top of the cup. Halfway through the fill it started tasting burnt. When I went to unscrew it from my ego the tube popped off (over the sink of course). It does have a nice o-ring that seals it at the base and the tube does seem to come off really easy, but not so easy it will come off in your pocket. Clean it out, dry burned it and refilled. So far so good. Still no flavor though, but it's not burnt. I've been using some early model R3s for a while now and I'm getting good flavor out of them after doing the above mods. These, not so much. Hopefully that will change. Maybe a fresh mix of juice will fix it. Wish I could try that orange pineapple in it.
I'll give more impressions as I use more of them out of the pack, but so far, not disappointing, but not fantastic.
