I disagree there Chanel.
It's beyond me why a website doesn't optimize their OWN site for maximum usability and customer satisfaction.
Think how many customers they lost after one time purchases, that just took the default mix ratio that appeared for a flavor?
Those flavor pages are all script/template driven, so it would take very little programming time to database the suggested blend ratio for each flavor, and then default the dropdown from the flavor/product database.

Shame on 'em! :)
Not everybody can like 'em I guess

Chanel, it's really just about running your business with "Your" customers in mind.
I owned a tech company for 15 years during the Internet start up through last year, and it always irked me to see web sites not optimized with their customer's best interest in mind.

Nobody is questioning that Ahlusion make's great juice. BUT, if you accidentally mislead customers to VG/PG ratio's that are not the best ratio to make the flavor shine, then you are just hurting yourself. For every one customer that figures out that the default VG/PG ratio is not what Ahlusion recommends, there are probably 9 that just say to themself, "This juice sucks, I won't be ordering here again"..

We saw the same thing with FSV. Many were ordering 100% VG, and wondered what all the rave was about that vendor, as at 100% VG the juice lacked flavor.

So, it's not a different strokes for different folks. It's running your business to optimize the customer experience. It's really not that difficult. :)

Yeah, I've never considered the default drop down to be the recommended ratio-but it would be awfully easy to get 90%VG by accident that way. The thing that is really odd about their site is that you can't see the product reviews unless you're logged in, no one else does that, what in the world is the purpose of that?

Jonathan, sounds like you need one of Bert's Trippy tips, hand blown glass "Donut" tips. The donut design was specifically geared for rda dripper's that got tired of "Hot" juice splattering into their mouth. for you it's an "eye" thing! :)

https://www.trippytips.com/index.php/shapes/donut.html

so that's the reason they make them that way....

I have a lot of flavors from free state and all but one is 100%VG, and they all have a lot more flavor than Ahlusion at 90VG, most have plenty of flavor (and everyone knows I have damaged taste buds). But I had my first Ahlusion order sitting here at 90VG (because i chose that not because it defaulted) and it had no flavor even after 3 months which makes me wonder why they even have that choice on site, and I also wonder why they can't make adjustments to their blend at high VG.

Anyway, as far as marketing goes, why do some have no description of their flavors, and why do so many high end brands have no additional info on their ingredients (PG/VG ratio, diacetyl, etc)? You'd think if you're paying more for something you could at least be given that much. Hell you'd think they could give you a chemical analysis like nude nicotine does with each order.
