6 pmish mountain time Sir! Don't be late or I will eat all that country ham! lol

Did you get one of those cured hams from the mountains in the cotton sack? Those are the best. Idk why ppl call those Virginia Hams because you can find those all over NC, SC, GA. heck I've seen those in Texas too! lol :D

I live in VA we can get country ham everywhere. The good stuff is expensive even here it's about the same price as good steak per lb but most of our family gatherings expect a tray of country ham on rolls and one of regular ham on rolls. Just a personal soapbox issue but please don't buy it from Smithfield (the brand not the county) if you can help it.

It's funny my family is from NC and we had country ham all the time. When we first moved to Southern Maryland every body kept offering me a old ham sandwich. I passed on it many times. When I finally tried one I found out old ham is just country ham. Locals have some crazy terms around these parts. My favorite local cuisine besides the awesome seafood is stuffed ham. It's a corned ham stuffed with kale and cabbage and heavily spiced. It's so damn good.

Sirius put the boat on the trailer and get over here. Fishing is so good right now in the Chesapeake. I have plenty of extra room. Or leave the boat and we will just go with my numerous friends who have one. I REALLY want my own....

Me and my buddies use to ride from The Smokey Mountain Parkway all the way up the Blue Ridge Parkway on to the Shenandoah Parkway on motorcycles, up to a place called White Oak Falls VA.. I brought one of those bagged hams back from a little country store.(forgot the name of it but it wasn't a Smithfield) It was $30 back then! lol

Yeah I should do that Mo! The Beast hasn't been in salt water yet. Annnnd I have yet to fish the Chesapeake! The Spots are on here bigtime now! Maybe I'll tale a break from bass fishing and do that bro. Have to see how things go around here later on in the summer when the fishing dries up. ;)

lucky for you that you can just run to the store and buy country ham. It is a very rare treat at my house.
Clifty Farms sells it on line but it is expensive !!! So I always stock up when I am back east and pack it into my suitcase.
