Hey Thunder, I just realized you're in MI. My momma was from there. Still got relatives there. They're from Dearborn Heights.

The last time I was in MI it was working. Chicago Machine Tool Show. I should have stayed away from Division & Rush ST.

Percocet is an Opiate and yes the feeling is AMAZ but they are highly addicting and will have a hold of you in no time. HARD to kick the habit. One of the few things I have not been addicted to only because I had other favs and by the time the Opiate craz came around again I was hard into RECOVERY but had/have a lot of friends that went down the Opiate road and are now attached to the Methadone Clinic. STAY FAR AWAY from the opiates

Oh, I know. It's just a shame because it's the only thing that mellows me out. My personality when I'm on there is SO much better than normal. I'm relaxed, talkative, pleasant to be around... Wish there was something similar that wasn't so bad for you with the same effects.

Amazing feeling huh? I fail to understand that. I had to stop OTR because a state worker putting out cones for road work pulled out in front of my Freightliner and I had to ditch the truck to keep from killing him. Wrenched my back up and broke my right knee. The doctors have been prescribing me pain killers for years. Even taking them as directed, they only just barely kill the pain,(and I can't stand that doped feeling) I get regular back injections of cortisone,( a series of 8 to 10 shots) in my back every 3 months. Knee too.
I think the problem is that yes, they have a high potential for abuse. But taken as directed will relieve a lot of pain. And you won't get into trouble that way. I really only take what they have prescribed (Norco) when absolutely needed. Sometimes it works. Sometimes not. lol
But that's just it. I'm not in pain. I just like that they relax me and I am able to sleep. I was taking them for my wisdom tooth recovery. Not for extended back pain problems. My grandma does and has similar issues to you on top of Fibromyalgia. Problem is that after a while Vikodin and Percs only curve the pain and make it somewhat bearable. So they have to increase to doseage or switch her to something else time and time again. They are addictive in a purely physical way. When she doesn't take them, she feels it. Like flu symptoms and irritability. Unfortunately it's either that or be in paralyzing pain.

Tell her to try Lyrica, it helps my mom w her fibromyalgia a ton and is non-opiate.

Actually it's not. I had some Wiccan friends in the early 70's. Not saying you are, but they believed sort of as you do.

Not Wiccan. I don't identify myself as any sort of -ist or -im or -ian, etc other than "American" and even that I try not to cling to as an identity too much, lest I close my mind off to something I shouldn't. As soon as I identify myself as something, it means I am also identifying myself as all the other things I am not. I prefer a more simple state of "I am."

This does dramatically increase the potential outcomes in any given moment. Nothing wrong with that.
