Dream Theater - saw them live a few times, most recently in April. I was a little disappointed with the last concert. It was two one hour long sets of shredding, jam style, and they really lost the crowd. No one was standing up, we all got so mathematically messed up trying to follow the riffing. Sure they play clean and technical, but I would have liked at least a little bit of melodic familiarity - I have (and listen to) all their recordings including the live releases. All in all it came off rather arrogant

And I dig John Petrucci too. I went home and put on Change of Seasons and listened to that 12937197 minute long song (k that might be an exaggeration) over and over again

Agreed. People like to hide everything lol. And if you try to be open and honest about stuff, certain people will call you an ......, lol. Thats why its important to always be your true self when dating.. My gf got just the ...... she was expecting, and to this day still loves me

Ive sat there and laid it all out for my buddies in the past and still watch them fall on their face. Impossible for them to grasp the concept of going into a situation with the mindset of having already won, lol. Women smell insecurity from 50 yards, lol.

Yeah. It's not that there is NO single guys... it's just the few that are, (around here anyway) are single for a reason... If you know what I mean.

Divorce will do that to a guy. But yeah I gotchoo alot of guys just don't know how to treat a woman. I have the hardest time with really great women that have suckie boyfriends/hubbies .. that treat them like trophies or something.

Everyone has the capability to be shallow - it comes (I believe) from the ego trying to fulfill itself. But when we let that go we can see people as whole beings - not just pretty faces or hot bodies.

And don't think for one moment that I don't appreciate a body. Arm candy is nice, but it's more for external admiration. We all still have to go home and be with ourselves. External validation doesn't sustain itself

I wish we could all have a vape party around a camp fire and get all deep talky...followed by some silly jokes to lighten the mood. For hours that'd be fun!

And if you're a girl, 90% of the time, you'll either find a dude that only wants to get in your pants (i can find that anywhere) or a really awkward dude that is more socially-inept than I am. Well, you have to be attracted to the person, inside/out. That doesn't necessarily mean that they're "hot" to everyone, but they're hot to you. That's all that matters. The guy I was most in love with wasn't the most gorgeous guy. (He wasn't ugly... just not gorgeous) But his personality and mind were amazing. We had the most deep conversations and that's what you really need. Because when you get older, the looks fade and you find there's nothing else you had in common. Sitting in silence... LoL

OIC like one of those 24 year old 11 year olds. I never was like that. Tried to keep a balance of taking it slow and keeping them laughing. It helps to have good social skills also. Moms seem to like that but dads, I have had plenty of girls dads that just didn't like the way I looked. It could have been the motorcycle though. lol
