The new bells shall have a wider bore, so the draw will become more airy, no worries :) No need to return us the current bell, keep it and experiment as you like with it.

I bored out the tube with a 2.92mm drill bit and it has solved the gurgling for sure! Outstanding vape when you don't have juice spitting into your mouth! Only thing I am still desiring is the option for MORE airflow! The draw didn't seem to become looser due to the bore. Airflow is either bottle-necked by the air inlets, or the air channel itself.

I've thought about cutting the top cap down but I'm lazy and bad at that stuff lol.

I put a driptip with the AGA T topcap in a battery drill and a cutting disc in a Dremel.
Afterwards I removed burrs with a grinding stone in the Dremel, then sanded the edge smooth with sandpaper in hand.
Here are the results compared to a 'regular' Heron.

It was to my surprise, really good! :D

Wow, such patience! Mine was unwrapped upon arrival and built as soon as I got to my tools...

I'm with you on that one. It's like a bit ago when I think it was Peter said his Spheroid had been sitting in the package for two months or something like that !! Craziness if you ask me.

I drilled out the Heron bell and I no longer have the gurgling. Its very good now, great taste/vape. 3mm bit with a cordless, slowly. Now I'm actually using it, I love it. Different to a genesis, which I also love, but acceptable. Not as 'moist', doesn't have the 'crackle' of a well wrapped coil, but there sure is a certain 'something' about it. It's smooth, means business. And boy, does it look great (with the v3 Paps).
I'm also using a couple of 18350 Efests I was gonna bin, as a small form test, coz they were worn, but they seem to have longer legs than I thought, or I fluked a great build (butterfly, @ 1.4Ω).
I've mostly been using 18500 & genesis, but the battery longevity I seem to be experiencing re: the Heron & 18350 have me thinking about my early, ignorant OCD days. ('No, mine is definitely shorter than yours. Look, see...??' And all that usual bull.....
It's great, a real keeper. Especially considering the interior diameter of my bell is bigger that yours. Ha!:)

So I thought I'd give the included ribbon wire a try.
Holy crap! Best build yet. Here's some pics... film at eleven.

5/6 Wrap .8 ribbon @ about 1ohm, cotton ball about 28mm on either side of the coil.

Push cotton down into the well as this will help soak up any excess juice and keep it from seeping down the airhole.

Wicks are still tall enough to reach the filler. I'm not using the cotton cap.

Enjoy

A nice surprise came to the door.4 - Copy.jpg

All the hardware I need and a big bottle of Grant's to start the day right.

Wasted no time. Cleaned and started the assembly. No new tricks just a dual coil and one split wick. Thin at the ends and thick at the top.

Fully assembled and ready to goassembled - Copy.jpg

At home where she belongs. I am very happy to have one to call my own. RED - Copy.jpg

PapsX and Heron. The best combo and for me. This is all I need. I swapped the drip for the polished vase model. I think it looks better.

The vapour will not be denied and tastes great. Thanks to the VapourArt team and Miroslava for finding me the products that I needed.

I'm vaping Grants blend vg heavy and have changed to no nicotine and I still get a nice throat hit.

I want to thank Qorax and Chadsmo for posting builds that work for me. I appreciate you taking the time and have learned so much from the both of you about this combo before buying.

I have to agree with SMO. There is no need for the fluff. The wick just has to be right. No leaks and I get every drop.

I'm happy to join the GP family of supporters.

Service is excellent and shipping is fast. 3 days from Europe to North America. No delays.

My favorite mech mod bar none.
