I use a similar method on my KFL that I will try on the Spheroid.

I do a 3 fold that looks like an "S" then warap in the center of the "S". Attach to the atty then pull the legs until the correct sized loop is achieved on each side. Trim the legs down and bam! Figure 8 style but easier to wrap.

When my Spheroid arrives I will try the "S" method out and see how it goes..

These are really cool looking mods, the form factor, and shape are really stylish, and the spheroid atomizer is an interesting design! I wouldn't mind a GP Paps Lux in my collection, when my finances permit!

You will love it; I am sure. For now, whatever keeps you off the annies is awesome!

Tried that method ID, seems to work a little better, but first wrap came out at 2.2. Are you wrapping the legs of the coil clockwise, or is one having to go counter to the screw?

I generally wrap the legs in the direction the screw turns down.

The great thing about coils is that you can remove it before getting to far into it and remove a wrap (to lower the ohms) or add a wrap (to increase the ohms). Once you get the correct'ish ohm level then tighten everything up and move the coil over the top. Juice it up, give it a test fire and vape away!

I try and wrap them the same direction but honestly it doesn't matter on the small nuts as either way I wrap the coil almost around the post before tightening.
It truly try and wrap them so that the leads follow the wrap when raising the coil up so there isn't extra play in the wire. If the leads are attached wrong than a bit of coil comes of the wick. Make sense?

With my .30 on that method I'm usually 1.2/1.4ish to start. It will drop .01 or so after break in.

Sometimes in a rush, I will cut a small stand of 3 or 4 mm eko and simply U it up to the sera wool. Works great. This is the beauty of the spheroid.

the gold contacts are easier to care for. brass will oxidize and the oxidation interferes with conductivity. with gold a wet wash cloth is all you need to clean them up with. i think the 2.5 is when they came out with the dimples on the locking ring. i also noticed the newest 2.5 buttons have a different nut and a slot in the shaft. i assume its so we can tighten them a bit better. looks like you cal use a socket to hold the nut and put a flat screw driver down the middle to tighten it up.

finally got my spheroid built up. ended up going with twisted 32ga to get some rigidity. every time i tried to put the top on i would get a hot spot from the coil getting twisted. xc116 with a single leg up the side is working nice for me. i will play with some ekowool later on like was shown.

anybody else have problems with the top oring? it would close all the way fine till i washed it. now the top does not close all the way like the oring is swollen. tried to lube it and no luck still.

also looked at Domo and everything is gone!
