I received my new PAPS this morning and I can honestly say THIS IS A BEAUTIFUL mod. In addition, the switch works flawlessly. I mated the spheroid with the new PAPS and took it golfing with my this afternoon. Everything works great, no leaks in the pocket, no pocket fires, no misfires and the switch is like butter. Great products Perseas!

I already posted a picture of this in the pictures of your setup thread, but I thought I'd share a happy thought on the official gp page.

Below is a picture of my ac9 on top of a nifty little brass paps tube (18350). The tube was gifted to me by someone great.

Mostly I wanted to mention that if anybody is considering the lux replacement parts for the top cap and bottom button switch, I'd say go for it. I'm really quite pleased with the difference it makes. The better connection is noticeable and thus far provides a bit of a warmer vape. Digging it. Thanks Perseas :toast: IMG_20130417_170629.jpg

This is also my everyday setup. :). Minus the brass tube. My, she is lovely. Any idea when that was made on the GP Paps timeline?

Def a classic look. This may be part of the soon to be released(if at all) "Golden Batch". Sorry if I said to much Perseas. I will let him tell the rest.

Perseas mentioned something a few pages back about a 'Lux' version but I didn't think it had been released yet.

I think I may just get my spare Paps v2 gold plated so the Bauhaus font can live on.

I dont think it has been officially released as of yet. I believe the Golden batch is very very limited. In fact, those that try and fail are said to potentially need a form of professional therapy that is still in the developmental stages.
and the gold plating my friend, would be nothing less than awesome.:)

Every feedback, no matter if it is positive or negative helps us immensely to improve our products, so we thank you very much for your attention.

The Lux edition of GP PAPS v2.1 will be released in 10-12 days and it is an improved version of SS GP PAPS v2.1 in terms of conductivity due to the materials we use.

The GP PAPS Lux will have separate numbering from the SS edition, CNC engraving instead of laser engraving and the top and bottom caps will be from SS 316 grade, while the SS GP PAPS has SS 304 caps. The contacts shall be from 24 gold over silver plated brass. The tubes will be from the hardest aluminum bronze alloy we found, which has a high percentage of copper, both materials give an even better conductivity.

The above photo is from a test unit. The final Lux has 4 vent holes and polished finish.

Hey Perseas, my paps came in today and I just wanted to say that this is a fantastic mod. The only thing that bugged me was that the whole button just fell apart a couple of times today and i think it wasn't screwed in all the way. Other than that everything is great about it and thanks!

You're welcome!
Mind you the threading is left handed and you can tighten it with your hand.

Can a few people post a pic of your bottom cap all together for me? I seem to not be able to find the correct spot to tighten the nut to.

If I tighten the nut all the way down onto the button it only fires probably half the time, but when I hold the nut off some, it feels like the locking mechanism unscrews too far.

Just can't seem to find the 'right' setup...so any tips are greatly appreciated!

Check the black plastic insulator to be fitted in place and I just remind that the threads of the nut are left handed.
The holding nut can screwed from both sides, one of them increases the travel of the button.

Also, just speculation, but if the telescopic screw on the top post is not low enough, it could cause it to not fire even when the button switch is screwed together completely, the gap in the positive end won't close.

Just got my Paps yesterday morning. Beautiful piece indeed. I just need to checked the marking that appears on the switch area that looks like a 'C'. Can't seem to find any on my friends Paps. I'm just wondering what is it? I've email to info@vapourart.com and yet to receive any reply. I'm just curious about the marking. I'm loving my Paps by the way :D

I also have some errant marks on the switches I ordered in the latest batch but they don't effect functionality so I didn't cause a stink. Can post pictures later.

Considering the late reply, you may have found out that such additions to the paps line will be added soon. The tube itself was gifted to me and the lux parts I purchased separately.

Looking forward to "golden batches" :D

We spoke in Facebook and I suggested you to send an email to info@vapourart.com because I couldn't see the photo there.
Don't worry, we shall replace whatever part has manufacturing defects. Miro, our associate in Sofia will respond to you soon.

Yes perseas, I've just received an email reply from Miro and a notification of the replacement parts been sent via DHL. I'm speechless.....this is 1st class customer service  I'm just curious about the markings and you guys immediately sent the replacement part. Looking forward to purchase your other products soon. Thanks again.

So I really sat down and got it PERFECT after work today, only took 5 minutes, lol. Thanks for the picture USinchains!

I'm contemplating my vaping buy for this weekend, and I've been looking at the shop. Is the Lux replacement kit an upgrade from stock v2.1 (got mine in one of the batches earlier this month)? I'm guessing it is, but I am not sure.

Also, any word on when new complete switches will be in?

Thanks!

Yep, it is an upgrade kit. It improves the conductivity (tested increase 0.15-0,20 V with 1,8-2,8Ω in Spheroid with 0,16 mm resistance wire), no need for cleaning the contacts and in case of a short the melted or peeled surface, uncovers the silver layer, so no loss in conductivity. Another sign of improved conductivity is a warmer vapour due to a quicker surface flow of electricity, which many times, cannot be measured by a voltmeter.

The switch replacement parts will be ready in 10 days.
