Maybe do a V3 flat top cap with GPin and just discontinue the V2.5 top cap. I'd buy one or two.

That is a good point! I think it would make sense cause then you only manufacture 1 awesome product and some top caps could skip the step of being cut for air flow.

I like the look of the flat top cap, in theory.

In use, it'll show surface scratches moreso than a slotted one would, from threading attys on.

Plus, although its not often I use a bottom-fed-air atomizer, i do now and then, so when buying seperate top caps, Id generally lean for the slotted, and if only one could be had, again, slotted.

    Vapourday anytime soon?

Good thought but, then you add man power of planning, another slot for the cnc machines(they could not just be pulled early off the cnc as they require different programming), separating, stocking, separate polishing shift, inventory control and more.

We'll have spare GPins soon. The v3 top cap permits atomizers with bottom air flow to work properly. I know that most people use atties with side air holes, but honestly speaking, are the minuscule openings of v3 caps annoying enough to create the need for flat top caps?

Most of my gear is running in hybrid mod, whether it be native or via an adapter. Well, except for the Spheroids. I actually had to look for my top cap when I saw the comments. I guess my vote would be... Who needs top caps? :D

Welcome! You will be hard pressed my friend to find any GP in this thread for sale :)! As P mentions below, stick around and he will have more information on Tues for the sale. I would recommend you set up an account early here http://www.vapourart.com/en/home and support VapourArt/GP! Or the US re seller Blake(Fantastic Guy and friend!) here https://domovaporco.com/

Here are some visual differences to start
The V2.5 (middle) V3 on right(the one on the left is the V1/V2)

    again middle and right

    You know the deal :)

They are both incredible switches. The V3 vents battery through the switch to eliminate the vents in the v2.5 tube. The V3 also has reverse threading as to prevent over tightening on the tube or under tightening.(my favorite addition!). They both have incredible thread tolerance and a very short soft throw(1mm or less) that will force you to remove your clothing and run naked in the street until detained by the local authorities, ask me how I know :).
The only other point I have to mention is how much easier for some to disassemble clean and assemble.
They are both incredible but, I would suggest the V3 as GP kicked it up a notch - many of us would of said that was impossible to do but, Team GP did!

My birthday is the 17th, all ready have my account set up and will be buying something on V-Day. I will definitely be buying a V3 new and think I have a used Lux 2.5 and 18650 tube lined up.

Thanks Idaho for putting my mind at ease. I have heard so much about the 2.5 switch was scared the V3 was not as good. Can't wait to try them both!

No problem! Oh no my friend, there are always those few that simply like the looks better. The majority on the forums I dwell love the looks and simplicity without hindering performance. In fact I find the V3 is much easier to fire with the outer ring of the V2.5. I also love the precision work on the visual design. It is incredible. Time moves forward as well as GP design.

Just got my first spools of 24g and 26g kanthal. Holy crap! I just did a bunch of rebuilds...

1ohm macro in the Heron with looped 2mm ekowool. Delicious! GVC, I built this one first and have been drinking an Avery Hog Heaven with it. GVC and barley wine style ales are fantastic together.

1.3ohm micro in a Spheroid with 1mm eko. Kinda meh, needs tweeking. Maybe not Jameson Amelia in this one, or a lower nic.

1.2ohm micro in the second Spheroid with doubled 1mm eko and AiV white rabbit. This ones going in a micro stick.

.58ohm dual micros in an Omega with 1.5mm eko with a SnC cotton core and mothers milk . Fogged out!

    I haven't even tried the 24g yet.
