Ok I order stuff from MadVapes but had not tried any of his juice. I noted on my last order that he had some specialty juices and decided to try the Kona Coffee. I also noted something called 'GrandPa's Mix' but was offput by the addition of 'pine' in the description. All I could think about was pine oil and the skanky menthol I have sitting waiting for 'emergency vape' purposes only.

Ok I ordered the Kona Coffee and some other sundry items and as usual, this vendor sticks goodies in your order. Well my order arrived today and wouldn't you just know one of the goodies was 'GrandPa's Mix'. My first thought was something like this......8-o. I decided to try it to get it out of the way!

O M G!!! This is the best juice that I have tried so far and I am no newb. I do have other orders oming in and will post those if I like them but this was surprisingly good! I dripped a bit in my atty on my new PT and have been stuck on it ever since. I don't taste any pine (some say they do). It has a sort of sweet/tart taste which the vendor told me was from cranberries. I don't usually vape sweet juices but....Oh.... I will definitely be ordering this again.

I won't tell you to go out and buy a big bottle. I have done that based on reviews. I will however tell you to try a small bottle if you ever swing by MadVapes. For now, I think I have found my go to vape.

BTW the Kona Coffee still sits unopened.. Rofl. I can get coffee all day long but I really hope this stuff sticks around!

Well now I am looking long and hard at the cranberry torte..ROFL! As a rule, when I order from a vendor, the first thing in my cart is tobacco flavors as tobacco is my main vape. Any other flavors are just asides to see if anything stands out as special. This is truly the first time I have ever been tempted to order a sweet or semi-sweet vape from any vendor as a stand-alone juice!

I received a sample of grandpa's Mix with my order today as well. Still not too sure what I think about it yet, but it's definitely...different.

The taste that came to mind on my first exhale (using 510 cart on 510 manual batt) reminded me "somewhat" of resin, but not pine. The end of my 510 cart, however, SMELLS like RY4. A drop on the back of my hand smells perfumey.

At 6V, the resin taste is more pronounced...not pleasant to me at all.

Of course, like every other juice, flavor is a personal thing (I still think I'm the only person in the world that absolutely DETESTS Red Bull! :D).

This is going to be one of those flavors that one either loves or hates...won't be much middle ground.

I don't detest red bull, but I really don't get the hype. It does taste like red bull...which is a pretty strong flavor and a definite change from tobacco flavors...but it is definitely not an all day vape imo.

This grandpa's mix has me curious. The nostalgic name is nice if not the "pine resin" flavor description...

Awww, you ruined the surprise. (j/k) I already had the Grandpa's Mix on order and am hoping to receive it soon. I just had to try it because it sounded so unique. It's encouraging that you like it though, because I was expecting to probably not like it. But that would have been ok, because it was cheap, and I sort of enjoy the challenge of having to spruce up flavors that aren't to my liking. <---(Hah, pun alert "Spruce up the Pine juice")

That's where all the gramp mix has been going. I agree with brat, the gramp mix is actually pretty good...I'm not going to say an all day vape. It's sounds bad...but it reminds me of pine-sol, but not in a bad way it just tastes like something I can't but my finger on. It's actually kinda annoying, anyways the only bad thing I've had with it...is that if you exhale through the nose...you will get a little head rush. Oh, and mad vapes cinnibiscus is pretty good too(kinda of apple cinnamon).

LOL I was coming in to update this. Maybe this is why I like it so much. I don't vape or eat sweets as a rule so when I vape this I can taste a cranberry tart taste. HOWEVER. Last night my kid talked me into trying some peanut brittle, after eating this and killing my sweet tastebuds, I could definitely taste the 'resin' or pine. It still was not bad, rofl actually better than some of the stuff I got that passes itself off as menthol but will definitely make a mental note not to vape this after anything sweet.

This morning it was back to its cranberry/tart (minty?) taste.

I've been vaping this Grandpa Mix for a couple hours now and it has a very familiar taste/smell, but yet I can't place it. Doesn't really taste like pine to me, but I can see where that would be the best description for lack of a better one. It's almost like a perfumey type flavor, but in a good way. I like it, mainly because it's sooo different than any flavor I've had before. I might try mixing a bit of it with some menthol to see if the two flavors go well together - they seem like they would. But I actually like it the way it is, so I'm going to keep most of it unadulterated to use as a flavor to switch to when I'm tired of everything else and want a change of pace.

Maybe after vaping it some more the flavor that it reminds me of will come to me. It's one of those things where it's on the tip of my tongue, but the more I try to think of it, the harder it is to remember it. Somewhere very deep down in my brain, I *know* this flavor. It's both satisfying and frustrating at the same time, like a brain-teaser.

It finally came to me (if my taste memory serves me correctly) I think it tastes a lot like "Cola Champagne" which is a Latin-American soda flavor of which there are many varieties and brands. Jamaicans also have their own kind, but if I remember correctly, their stuff tastes quite different. I live in South Florida, so this stuff is ubiquitous in all the varieties and sources.

If you're looking to try some in an area where the stuff isn't as readily available, your best bet would probably be the Goya brand, which looks like this:

I'm going to get some next time I go to the store to do a side by side comparison with the Grandpa's Mix. They probably go very well together.

P.S. If you go hunting for this and run across some pink stuff called Manzana Postobon, snatch it up too! It's a most delicious apple flavored soda that I get whenever I find it.
