I would have been just as happy with the stainless.I was hoping to get that one, but my stainless one logs nice, too.
Oh, yeah. I'd sport a pink and purple tie died if that's what I had gotten! lolI would have been just as happy with the stainless. It looks really nice.
Me too but I didn't even know that they were sending stainless ones. Had I known, I really, really would have hoped for that. For some reason I had it in my mind it was just the black or white ones going out.Oh, yeah. I'd sport a pink and purple tie died if that's what I had gotten! lol
I still want the rose gold, too.I would have been just as happy with the stainless. It looks really nice.
I have heard of a few people getting the stainless one lately. Maybe they ran out of black? Or maybe they just added the stainless. I do love the white and orange one, though.Me too but I didn't even know that they were sending stainless ones. Had I known, I really, really would have hoped for that. If you ever want to swap, let me know. Mine may have to go back for warranty, hopefully the screen glitch isn't too common.Me too but I didn't even know that they were sending stainless ones. Ahhhhhhhhhh...so sorry it's been so crappy.
Sorry to hear that.......
Looking forward to the update...
Mine is still in the other room.....but almost empty..so it wont be long........
Oh, Kaezziel, I am so sorry to hear about your wife! How scary. I will continue praying for you guys.
35-40 tanks! I knew I had more life in my kanthal head before I retired it, lol. I just couldn't believe it was still going strong (though slightly muted) at 20 tanks!I have a second kanthal head in right now, though, and I am determined to run this one into the ground, lol.
I found that for me the nickle head had a little break in period, but eventually it performed wonderfully. I think I still prefer the kanthal head over the nickle, but I won't say I won't ever use the nickle head again. I think it's just personal preference.![]()
Sorry to hear about your bad week.....Hey everybody... sorry I've been out for a bit. Last week was just insane on a personal issues level... we were at the hospital for various reasons Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday... lost a cat on Tuesday afternoon, he came back Wednesday night... had workers tearing down and rebuilding my fence Tuesday through Thursday... and all of this while holding down a job, cleaning house and cooking meals, and playing at being a nurse the whole time... but everything seems to have settled down a bit for now. Thank God this tank is holding up as well as it is... I've had ZERO time to rebuild anything on my other set-ups for a couple of weeks now.
So... I tried the nickel coil for about two days. I am unimpressed... even tried it on my Invader Mini to see if it would work differently. Short answer... no, still not great. On both mods, I had the temp dialed all the way up to 600°F and the vape was still cool and anemic. Well, maybe not completely anemic... there was a decent amount of vapor produced, but the flavor was weak and just way too cool for me. I let the kanthal coil sit in some Everclear for those couple of days and ended up switching back to it Friday afternoon and been using it all weekend. I've put another 11 tanks through it so far, which should put me around 48 tanks on this coil with one half-butted attempt to clean it (seriously... all I did was let it soak in PGA for 2 days, dried it out and put it back into use). I did have to bump the wattage from 40 to 45W this morning to keep the vape consistent for some reason... but it's still working fine. I'm going to keep running this kanthal coil until I just can't stand it anymore... I've got 5 more on the way, but I'm going to try to hold out until this one either dies or just gets unvapeable. Can't wait for my new DIY supplies to get here though... I'm super excited to try a few new recipes on these awesome flavor machines!
Sorry to hear about your bad week.....
I am still working on emptying it so I can fill it with my ADV & use it solely for awhile...but I am glad to know it will last for awhile....
Thanks Red... things are starting to look up now.
Let's just hope that the upward trend continues!
Thank ya Blue... update is posted and the saga continues.
Thank you Cool... we're past the two year mark now, but yeah... still scary. Your prayers are very much appreciated. {{{hugs}}}
Yep, this little coil has held out longer than I expected, and it's still going... it is a bit muted if compared to a fresh coil, but I can still taste my juice and the vapor production is still strong... in fact, it looks like it's due for another refill.
I won't say that I'll never use the nickel heads again either... but I definitely prefer the kanthal. One thing that I did note though, juice consumption seemed to go WAY down with the nickel head for me... I can only attribute that to the reduced wattage during the temperature control. I didn't really care for the vape on it, but it seems like it would be perfect for a tootle puffer... but apparently tootle puffing isn't for me anymore. I've been spoiled by my RDAs and high wattage... before the Target, I was mostly on mech mods with low sub-ohm builds or my Invader Mini with a Titanium build and rayon wicks running temp control. Maybe I'll throw a new build in my Silver Play V2 with Titanium and try that on the Target mod to see if it handles temp control a little better with a custom build.
I don't think the fear every goes away when it comes to cancer, but congratulations on 2 years! That's really encouraging. I hope you guys have a nice, quiet, healthy year this year. You deserve it!!![]()
Thank you for the update, too! I noticed the same thing with juice consumption. The kanthal head is just better for me all the way around!![]()
I don't think you will be able to run a titanium build on the Target. I believe I tried and it told me "not a nickle coil" but I could be wrong. It never hurts to try!![]()
That's good to know (about the ti wire)! I hope Vaporesso comes out with more wire types for the coils. I like titanium wire better than nickle, too!I think you're right... and we'll keep fighting it, have no doubt! And, thank you! I would kill for a quiet healthy year... lol
Yeah, I thought the change in juice consumption was interesting. When I run TC on my other mod/tank it didn't seem to change much... I still went through the same amount of juice in a given time. Definitely agree with you on the kanthal head with this set-up... and I had completely gotten away from kanthal. I was using strictly nichrome or titanium.
I just verified that you can run titanium on the Target in TC mode. Just keep in mind that your temp settings will be off. It seems to run around 100°F hotter than the setpoint. For example: if you set it to 350°F, it will read and adjust as 350°F... but in reality, the temp of the coil head will be around 450°F. It also seems to perform a LOT better than the nickel head did. I guess if I want to run TC on the Target that I'll have to find another atty with a rebuildable head and a white paint finish... gotta keep this beauty all 'matchy-matchy'!!![]()
Get the white STM !!!I think you're right... and we'll keep fighting it, have no doubt! And, thank you! I would kill for a quiet healthy year... lol
