Just out of morbid curiosity, why is there a green dot beside my name? Is it a 'good thing' or a 'bad thing'?

Hi Kay - welcome to the forum! A green dot just means that you are currently online. The dot is greyed out when you are not.... 
oh....ok....Thanks! That will help knowing who's online and who isnt in the future.
