This is a local vendor called "Green Puff". The local practice is to import Dekang liquids in bulk and rebrand it. This is a tried and true method which seem to be employed by many online sellers around the world. The most widespread rebrand locally seems to be Denkat. As far as I can tell, Denkat liquid is fine. Normal Dekang tastes and nicotine. Denkat is what I have to compare other liquids to ATM.

I found an ecig kiosk in a Makati area mall. In Fort Bonifacio's Market Market, on the 2nd floor next to Watsons. The nice salesman said he had been there for about a year. Most outsiders look at mall ecig stores with low opinions, but you have to understand that this is a hot country. A huge percentage of our franchise-type stores are in Malls. We boast some of the biggest malls in the world (Google "Mall of Asia" for example).

Anyway, for me, it was a nice discovery as this was my first retail ecig experience. So far, I have only purchased online and from a great personal sales person who delivers supplies to me (he serves the central Makati area, PM me if you want his contact info. Highly recommend this gentleman). I was in Market Market and just saw it. I still can't find a website for this company, but the guy told me they have several branches.

Anyway I bought 5 10ml bottles of eliquid (RY4, USA Mix, butter scotch, Melon, Strawberry Banana) at "high" which I was told is 24mg nic. Cost is P250 each. Bottle and label look like this:

GP1.jpg

I have both 24 and 18mg of the Denkat and these "feel" like the 18. However, that is far from scientific. The biggest problem, and why I believe they are watered down, is there is very little flavor, almost no vapor and no TH. If you can see in this pic:

GP2.jpg

The contents are listed as PG 75% then a bunch of other chemicals. At this amount of PG, though, there should be decent vapor production right?

I am getting vapor out of these juices like on my ego-t's last hit before the battery led flashes that it's dead. In other words, there is vapor but its very weak and I feel no TH. While I can tell the difference between each flavor, it is so weak that I have to kind of think about what flavor it is to taste it.

I asked the guy for an ego-t type A LR atty. He took one from inside the kiosk window. It was in a carton with about 5 others. It was unwrapped and I looked at it. There was no marking on the cone (no ego-t or rebrand name or anything just black). I also couldn't find the LR marking in the inside and I was shining the LED flashlight from my phone's flash on it. I said, do you have one with branding? He went inside the kiosk and brought out one with ego-t on the side wrapped in plastic still. I shined my light in the top and the LR was there.

How fishy is that? Was the first atty he tried to sell me a fake? Then when I knew to ask, he brought out a real one?

Suffice it to say, I will not be buying from Green Puff ever again. However, does anyone else have any experience with this vendor?

Hey there,

I actually bought my first e-cig in Manilla along with some Denkat juice. I have purchased a few time since as I travel pretty regularly to Manilla on business. I can recommend PC 'r' US. The 2 stores I went to of theirs were both at Divisoria. They have the main store in Tutuban Centre Mall, 2nd level. The have also opened a 2nd shop in 168, the new section, street frontage not inside. I found that they were pretty expensive for hardware, however the juice at 450 Peso for 30 ml was not too bad.

Thanks! Divisoria is a bit far for me :). I just checked their website, thanks to you. It seems they have a branch in Robinson in QC, which is still not close but would save an hour of traffic for me. The problem with all these places is EDSA. I avoid EDSA like the plague whenever I can, I was once on EDSA at around 2:30AM and there was still dense traffic all the way to Greenhills. :( That was an uncommon event but still, EDSA is painful.

I found a really nice guy who delivers Denkat to me. I now also have some Dekang and HC juice and the Denkat seems very similar to the Dekang. Its good. I am satisfied with the quality of Denkat. I also have some coming from Juicewhore in your neck of the woods :), which I am eagerly anticipating.

Its just this store I found issue with. I've been going back and forth a bit with this vendor on a local messageboard. He has explanations for everything. I can buy the explanations for the hardware, I was looking for input here on that score. There were a couple other issues I didn't even mention here, like the fact that the kiosk had no ability to give a receipt. This is ok in some locations, but in an central location in an Ayala mall, its suspect. He has an explanation though, which is plausible. The bottom line is, was my poor retail experience here caused of a perfect storm of bad luck for Green Puff? I don't know but it is possible and I can accept that is what happened.

However, the juice issue has not been addressed to my satisfaction. The owner claims the juice is 100%PG which would go a long way to explain part of my experience with it. However, the lack of nicotine and TH would not be explained by this. On the other hand, I have not done a chemical test or anything, this is just anecdotal.

Bottom line for me, is I have agreed to revist the store at a future date and reevaluate it. I take nothing back from my post above. That was my experience, and if a perfect storm of bad retail happened, that is not on me but still on the store.

Yes Divisoria can be difficult, especially on weekends :) On one of my previous trips over there I was doing overnight training at EDSA, and it was like Sydney City during the middle of the day, people everywhere at all hours of the morning....LOL

I have looked at the Pinoy vaping forum, however as I no very little Tagalog it is hard for me to keep up with it all there.

I am sure that if you can get to PC 'r' US they should be able to sort you out.

Good luck with it. Vaping over there is actually more expensive than smoking. Last trip there I brought back 3 cartons of Marlboro for what it would cost me to buy 1 pack over here. Crazy :)

Hi vocr.

Are you located somewhere in Makati? I'm familiar with the area but unfortunately haven't seen any physical e-cig stores around. I've read and you just confirmed that Green Puff has a kiosk in Market Market but I haven't tried their juice yet.

If you like the Dekang juice, The Vape Company has a kiosk in Podium in Mandaluyong and Greenhills. They have an fb page for all their outlets.

Aside from their Divisoria store, Denkat has a kiosk in Robinson's Place in Manila and recently opened in Greenhills as well.

Eshots has a store in St. Francis Square in Mandaluyong, stone's throw away from Podium.

I have some Dekang and Eshots juice from our local sellers. I also order online from the sellers found here in ecf and have them to the PH via Johnny Air Cargo.

Ssshhh your avatar!

Thanks man! Yeah you are too right. Cost, or rather reducing cost, was not a factor in switching for me, I've already crossed the US$2k mark in my first month.

Thanks man! Yup, I am in Makati, in Salcedo Village. I think you are right, Green Puff is the only retail available in this area so far. :( Unless you count the alcohol distributor at the Distillery in Fort who sells that crappy green box "healthy" ecig.

Given my experience, I would say Green Puff is not a very good option. I have to admit, the vendor is certainly engaged with me on Pinoy vapers. Maybe he will rectify the problems.

I am going to have to take a ride and check them out. Can I ask, which juice do you like better? Denkat or eshots?

How is the Johnny Air service? I have used FRS forwading service before, but only for big items (TVs and furniture mostly). I was concerned that for small items, the shipping cost would become prohibitive.

I posted a thread over at Pinoy vapers about forwarders, but they deleted it for reasons I cannot understand. You ever try My-ShoppingBox or http://www.usa2pilipinas.com/? BDO spam'd me these two, guess they partnered up.

Lol! As soon as I realized there were fellow Pinoys active here, I was going to change it but I haven't gotten around to it yet. You are the first to notice it, hehe :).

Well, I prefer the RY4 and DK-Tab of Dekang and a few of eshots juices namely the butterscotch, banoffee and apple pie. If you get around to visiting Mike/eshots store in St. Francis, he has testers for all his juices so one to sawa ang testing!

Johnny Air is very easy! I've been using them for all my online purchases since 2006. They charge by weight and you don't have to go thru all the hassles in customs + you know when you're package is arriving. They're main office is right in Legaspi Village!

Better to get the details from them so I don't miss out on any info, Johnny Air.

The way it works is, when you order something online, you input your credit card's billing address then Johnny Air Cargo's address in New York as shipping address! Your item is shipped to Johnny, Johnny brings it home to the PH, then they text you when your package is available for pickup and the amount you have to pay!

I bought most of my mods and juices online and had them shipped thru Johnny. There's approx a 2-week waiting time for the packages to get to you but I don't mind. :)

I never made it over to Market Market during my trips to Manila. I do remember seeing a vendor of what appeared to be an RN4081 style at MOA and I believe there was a similar vendor at Green Hills.

A more reputable option, would probably be PC R' Us. I believe they have a retail location in the Tutuban Mall (if I remember correctly). In fact, they are the Philippines GG vendor.

Among other options:
- Best electronic cigarettes_ecigarettes_eliquids_ejuices - Heaven Gifts
- http://www.eastmall.net

You might also want to check out the Pinoy Vaper Boards if you haven't already stumbled over there. Lots of Filipinos discussing things that are locally available. I believe some of them also do bulk buys from the US from time to time. There are US vendors that will ship, and generally (not sure if you calculate the price post-shipping) their prices are still better than what I saw last summer while in Makati.

While this isn't the exact answer you were probably looking for, I hope it helps! If nothing else, enjoy a mango for me! :)

Thanks basilray! I do have a trip planned to vist PC r US, maybe when I get back from an upcoming business trip. I was just really disappointed with my first retail experience and was looking for whether it was a one off or others had experienced something similar. I have now been told by a few others, via net messaging and by 2 people off line, that this store has a slight reputation for weak juices ("I heard from X, "I read there", etc). Nothing but scuttlebutt, so also possible FUD and all those disclaimers apply. However, it does align with my experience. In their defense, the owner said to me at Pinoy vapers that its because their juice is 100%PG. I've given up on it, I threw it all out because I needed the bottles.

You know one of the bigger problems locally is prices for "cheap" juice, seems to be much higher than it should be. If you see PC r us, Boge juice goes for P250 per 10ml. That's about USD5.85 at the exchange rate right now. I also paid P250 per 10ml for the weak juice I got from Green Puff.

The online stores, for example like Healthcabin and Heavensgift charges USD2.80 for 10ml of dekang. For USD5.85 one could almost buy 30ml online. I partially understand why this is, besides a bit of price gouging, it is expensive to deal with our ridiculous customs and the dollar is becoming worthless (I am buying stuff in the US like a bandit right now). Still, that is a big price premium to buy locally.

Anyway, I'm well stocked up on juice now, have a bunch of FA and HC flavors to DIY and have even more juices and flavors coming. I guess I won't be buying much juice locally anymore for a while, just a few things to try if ever I make it over to St Francis or Robinson. :)
