Hi all,

Just got my green smoke starter kit which has 2 long batteries. I decided to charge them before use. The first one I popped in the USB charger went red and then after a couple of hours went green. All good. Remved the battery and the green tip flashed a few times.

The second one I plugged in and the USB charger went red. The tip of the battery (LED) also went solid green. This did not happen on the first battery. When I unplugged it the green tip flashed a few times just like the first one.

Both batteries seem to be working okay but I was confused as to why one tip lit up solid while on charge and the other did not.

Can anyone let me know why this would be?

Much appreciated.

Paul

My suspicion would be different levels of charge, or maybe I am not understanding.

You know it's all very, very cheap stuff don't you? We are talking 87p batteries and 16p refills.....

If you find it's not good enough or costing you a fortune, you'll know where to ask.

Good Luck. :)

Being new to the game I had tostart somewhere. I definately want a cig-like type of setup and it was between this and Jac Vapour. I summised it was about 50:50 from all of the reviews and forums I looked at. I guess I can get unfilled cartomers that are compatable and use the larger bottles of juice from someone else but all i really want is a good substitute for a regular UK blend (e.g. B&H or Superkings). First day today and I have smoked 2 real cigs where I would normally have consumed 10 by this point so thats not too bad.......

Cheers,
Paul

Of course, I understand.

Refilling is the only option or it's going to cost you way too much money. I have both JacVapour and Greensmoke upstairs in the attic room.

JacVapour uses KR808D-1 fitting and you can buy "blanks" for these at a good few places.
Greensmoke uses KR808D-2 fitting and you won't find these anywhere which means refilling ones you buy from Greensmoke.

In reality, this makes the Greensmoke slightly more expensive, but as long as you are refilling, you are winning! :)

Out of the two, Greensmoke give off a tiny bit more vapour fresh off the charger as they use a different cartomiser. (lower resistance...)

Thanks for that. Do these not fit then: (sorry can't post links) themagicmist<dot>co<dot>uk/products/green-smoke-blank-cartridges

I'll go and look.

OK... if they say the do, then they will. You could certainly try them.

Interestingly, they don't state the "fitting" on any of their cartomisers. They just tell you the brand.

My advice would be to buy a small quantity at first, there's no guarantee they'll be any good.

However, in fairness to Magic Mist, they sell all sorts of compatible hardware for some of the UKs most expensive cig-a-likes and anything to stop people buying E-Lites at £3.99 each has got to be encouraged.

I used E-Lites at first and it would have cost me £3,200 a year.
Then I switched to JacVapour and started refilling, that was much cheaper but still didn't get me off the smokes.

In the end, I went refillable and the rest is history really.
