I've been happily vaping for almost two weeks now, and my KR808 (VaporKing) package just arrived today. For anyone interested, here's my experience so far!

Greensmoke

Like so many others, I jumped the gun and ordered this first. Since my 510 arrived shortly after, I gave the two Greensmokes to my parents that absolutely love them (but they haven't tried anything else). Here's my take on them:

- Great vapor. Lots of vapor. Vapor-vapor.

- Batterylife: so-so. Since they don't have a charging case to go with, I probably wouldn't be able to deal with these as I used to smoke a lot and now vape a lot, too. My parents find it completely adequate, but I've noticed they're starting to need more frequent charging after just one week...

- Flavor: Ranges from YUCK to Hm. It was okay if a bit weird in the beginning, but now that my tastebuds have recuperated, I can't deal with their cigarette flavor. They have a very limited flavor range in general for their cartos, and none of the flavors so far have been anything to write home about. If I refill it with an e-liquid the flavor does improve, but is still weak or odd, and can NOT hold a candle to what I get on my 510. Also, they are not made for refilling... Will update you guys on how the empty Greensmoke cartos work when they get here.

- Concerns: This stuff is overpriced, definitely. The batts are heavy to hold, and I've noticed discolorations within the cartos when I open them. They're not really meant to refill, but still, makes me worried. They look like a regular cigarette, which for my parents is a plus, but for me is a big minus - I love the black battery and blue led on the 510.

- Service: Packaging is s...., the membership card is cute, I got everything I ordered and on time. No complaints. I do NOT like their advertising on the website, though - these things do not last as long as advertised, and come on, vaping is awesome but it's a stretch to say it's environmentally friendly. It's still batteries.

Joye 510

I have a love-hate relationship with this, mostly love though, and most of the dissatisfaction is bound to go away with the learning curve on using it.

- Not as much vapor as the Greensmoke, but if you inhale right on a charged battery and full cart, it's 90% as much. More than adequate.

- Flavor: now, I ordered from a Chinese website, and got the empty carts to fill myself. The flavors come through great, but the refilling part... I still can't get it quite right - it leaks, I'm wasting juice, the flavor goes away quickly. Like I said though, it's really about the user, not the model itself. I have experienced flavor perfection a handful of times, and it's decent most of the time, so I'm happy. I would have stuck with this model alone if I hadn't had the feeling there was more flavor to be had with a different one, maybe. And yeah, I do direct drip now, so it's not just the factory or mod filling either.

- Battery: It DOES have a shorter battery life than the other two, but with the PCC and a USB passthrough, it rarely goes out for me. If I do order it again I'll get the longer Mega 510, and it should completely eliminate the issue. I personally love taking long walks and smoking while I do it, so this is why people that mostly smoke near a power source wouldn't even notice the battery duration provided they have a PCC. One fully charged batt lasts me betwen one and two hours. I take long inhales, so for someone that takes shorter puffs, I imagine it would far longer.

- Concerns: The standard wall charger I got works only sporadically. Since my PCC is working like a champ it hasn't been an issue. Way cheaper than the Greensmoke! It's not as easy to deal with as the two-part models, but with this forum as guide, I'm getting better and better at dealing with cleaning out the atomizer, refilling, etc.

- Service: I don't remember where exactly I ordered it from (China), but it arrived on decent time, no hassle.

- Looks: The black model with blue LED looks so awesome: somehow the gold band, the lighter, thinner, look - I just love it. I can't express this enough, but it looks incredibly elegant!

VaporKing

- Vapor: gives the Greensmoke a run for its money, definitely. With some flavors and liquids it almost seems to give out more than the Greensmoke, and always way more than the 510. If this is important for you, then VaporKing wins, hands down.

- Flavor: I ordered a couple of different flavors, some of which never arrived, but so far I haven't really liked any (I got the Chocolate Banana, Coffee, RY4 and Turtle Candybar): it's like they're barely there. The RY4 tasted plain weird, and the choco candybar, can't really remember the name, is far too sweet without really having a taste - hard to describe.

I also ordered empty cartomizers: Two of them, I filled with coffee mint and kona coffee (both from strictlyejuice.com), and they were awesome! Actually gave me better flavor than the same liquids on the 510, which was exactly what I was hoping for.

The other three blanks, however, filled with Pina Colada and RY4 (I already have used both on my 510 with great results), tasted HORRIFYING.

I mean really, really, primer fluid-y horrifying, and the gasoline chemical taste didn't go away even after an hour of puffing on it then immediately puffing out so I wouldn't cough or puke (it really is that bad). I'm guessing I was supposed to rinse them out and let dry first? Or just something wonky with those three cartos in particular. I'm somewhat bummed, as the other two flavors came through so much better on this model.

- Battery: I've only had this for a day, but so far, it really surpasses my expectations. Came already filled, the one I've been using all day (7 hours now) still hasn't shown a sign of depleting. The PCC is stylish and works great! I'll be keeping this model around for that fact alone, since I'm always a little anxious about my 510 PCC not being able to keep up one of these days.

- Concerns: Aside from the nasty insistent primer fluid, none so far. Haven't noticed any weird burnt spots in these cartos, like with the Greensmoke. The one auto battery I got cuts off after three seconds, as opposed to six seconds with the Greensmoke - it's a little disappointing, but, I prefer the manual ones anyway so it's not an issue for me personally.

- Service: Here, I really have to say, the Vapor4Life crew seem awesome. Everything shipped on time, there was a little note about a flavor name change in there, and three extra flavor carts. I'm just getting a good vibe from these people: I think they genuinely care about giving their customers a good experience.

That being said, a lot of my order was messed up. I ordered a blue LED with my black battery, and red LEDS with my parents white batteries, since they're concerned about it looking like an analog - it arrived with the other way around... Two of the sampler packs I'd ordered were missing, and I got two carry cases and one PCC instead of two PCC:s and one carrying case. I'm going to shoot them an e-mail about it today, and hope it gets resolved. The LED I'm not too worried about, but the PCC and those mint and coffee yummy cartos was what I was really hoping would be there :(

- Looks: It's about the same diameter as the Greensmoke and 510, but not as heavy as the former. The battery V4L logo you can't choose away on the starter kits bugs me a little, but I'm a design nerd, I doubt most people would even notice it. In the practical department, though, I must admit it's great having the flavor and strength printed on the carts!

I'm not a fan of the shiny battery look: the gold color I got, in particular, would look so much nicer in matte... The visual sense I get of the VaporKing black battery being bulkier than the 510 black probably comes from the matte/shiny difference, and also the LED not being flat on the VaporKing. Love the Zebra PCC, gives the mysterious black box of the 510 PCC competition.

Different things are important for different people, but for me personally, I love sleek gadgets and I have to say the VaporKing is precisely inbetween the elegance of 510 and the blandness of the Greensmoke. Holding something pretty was in itself a big help for my quitting smoking, and hey, maybe it really does make a subconscious difference for a lot of people.

In conclusion, I'll probably end up getting mostly 510 stuff, with some VaporKing thrown in for those times I just want something I can take on the go and not worry about atomizers or messy refilling. It's a great backup and can also be good for when I'm having a cigarette craving only a huge plume of vapor can help satisfy. I'm not in love with the VaporKing model itself, but it has its strong points, and just seems a great compliment if not replacement to the 510. Greensmoke, I wouldn't touch with a ten-foot pole after knowing how awesome the alternatives are.

Hope this helps someone out there make their choice, or try out something new! I'm so enthusiastic about all of this and getting into the nerd zone where I want to summarize my experience in detail.

Well reasoned and nicely presented. Great job, Kaboom.

I feel your pain on the juices. I'm not a fan of those Chinese factory flavors, either. Every single one I've tried, at least 15, have the same strange aftertaste that I don't care for at all. If all juice was like that I'd endure it in order to be off cigarettes, but there are good juices available from other places. Personally, I've been very happy with Tastyvapor.

Good news on the VaporKing: I e-mailed customer service about the missing stuff, got a reply back within half an hour (!) and they shipped the sampler packs and PCC immediately! I'm extremely impressed by their speed, thoughtfulness, and just plain care.

Bad news, and I was really hoping I wouldn't say this, but the model isn't doing it for me. I've found the vapor to be hot, which didn't bother me a bit back when all I had was the Greensmoke, but now it feels odd somehow. I also get something that feels like juice, but might just be condensation, in my mouth - this is on the prefilled carts. Which still have very little or funky taste. The blanks I filled myself are still okay, though.

That being said, my parents have used the VaporKing exclusively all day, and both are absolutely in love. Another big plus is that the batteries really seem far more consistent than both the Greensmoke and the 510!

I think flavor is the main thing the VaporKing crew could tinker around with to make their model surpass the 510 in all respects - I've noticed some flavors work better than others with their cartos, and if someone could figure out what ingredient or proportion of PG/flavor does it with the KR808, my vaping life could be perfect... but alas.

Quick bump: have been using the VaporKing a bit more than the 510 today, just happened. Think I'm getting used to the warmer vapor - there's still some sort of cartomizer taste undertone I can't place, but as long as I stick to the ones I filled myself, it's going well.

Just tried the condom refill method, went well! I do get more liquid in my mouth than with the 510, it seems, but better refill and draw technique should take care of that.

My parents still use the Greensmoke now and then (I'm staying with them for two weeks and trying to teach them how to maintain the vaping themselves), but mostly because we have so many empty cartos for it now. Which, by the way, are way better than the prefilled Greensmoke ones, yech.

I would definitely recommend any stalwart 510 fan to get a VaporKing as their backup PV, I've been using mine pretty heavily all day and STILL no stopping the battery. They take about half an hour to fully charge thus far, too. Awesome.

Kaboom, I loved your comparisons. But wait a few weeks and then see how much you like your 510. There was no joy for me with the 510. About 4 weeks into it, the batteries only held a charge for about 1/2 hour. And by 6 weeks, they were all dead.

The 510 kit is for beginners, which judging by your knowledge, you are no longer. Time to ditch the 510 for an upgrade. The eGo will hold a charge for 5-6 hours, and lasted 2 months so far.

If you are satisfied with the Vaporking, why not stay with that, especially if you can use it with cartomizers.

Here's a link for ya. eCigarette-Mods.com - The Ultimate e-Cig Mod Database I'm looking at the kenboxmod for my next one.

Yeah, I've looked at the eGo, I just don't think I could vape in public with it. It's not an issue of vanity, more that I'm already very self-conscious about strolling about with a black and blue LED thing in my mouth and getting stares (I LOVE how it looks personally, as do my friends, but whenever grumpy passersby start craning their necks I feel a little uncomfortable).

The 510 battery life hasn't really been an issue either as long as I keep my PCC well charged and rotate my two batts in it, and also I'm planning on getting the mega 510s next time around.

Day two with the VaporKing - still can't get the funky taste figured out. Will try and wash one or two of the cartos and see if it solves the problem, I'm so excited about the model now otherwise, it really feels a shame.
