Hi, am new to vaping, only started last week, and think I made a booboo by plumping for greensmoke kit to start with. Have done more research since, and am trying to find a clearomizer that will fit or is compatible with the greensmoke battery. would be grateful for any pointers in the right direction, all info I can find is for 808's but I dont know enough to know if a KR808D-1 is the same thread as a KR808D-2 or E9. TIA

Hi Bryan,
I've used Greensmoke. They are not compatible with 808-d1, which is what most 808 threading is. They use a proprietary thread.
You can refill their cartos with a bit of effort - the caps are glued in so use something metal with a bend to get in under the top cap and pop it off. Also don't refill them while on the battery - their batteries aren't sealed.

There are a few Greensmoke compatible cartomizers around. They have some here:
KR808D-2 or GreenSmoke compatible blank cartomizer - package of five

I haven't used those myself.

In the long run Greensmoke are very overpriced. If you want something that performs well in the ciggish size I recommend Smokeless Image, which have cartomizers, clearomizers of different sizes, and will soon have a larger size tank. They also have great CS. These are the common 808-d1 (not Greensmoke compatible - not much is Greensmoke compatible)

These are their coupon codes if you're interested:
10VOLTECF for 10% off entire purchase

CompareOur808d for 15% off cartomizers only

I've found them much better and more cost effective than Greensmoke myself.

I really should look at where people are from...

Just noticed your in Scotland and my links in my post are USA suppliers. When you have 5 posts in this forum you'll be able to post in the ECF UK forum: UK Forum

Chrissy for the UK forum has also put together a list of UK vendors with discount codes as well:
ALL ABOUT E-CIGARETTES UK - E-cigarette/E-liquid Vendors List + discount codes

They are used to helping out Greensmoke vapers in the UK forum. This issue comes up all the time. :)

Yeah greensmokes aren't very common but don't be sad they did get me completely off stickies. I have since moved on but it was a stepping stone. Vaporkings.com has the refillable cartridges that are compatible. Sorry if that was the link already posted. Good luck and don't get frustrated or give up. Vaping is great!

thanks six, I'm not intending giving up vaping, have stopped proper ciggies for a week now (i should probably stop calling them proper ciggies lol) had a puff today and they taste terrible, so am a convert. Also got my own juice today, but the problem is I can never tell when a GS cart is about to go burnt, and apparently once burnt they are funky everafter so thought a Clearomizer might be the way to go.... 6 hours later and crossed eyes, it appears that the research I did before buying greensmoke wasnt as clever as I thought. On the plus side, they were good enough to stop a 20 a day habit, so swings n roundabouts lol

thanks for the nudge kiwi lol it turns out i'm a fan of strawberry and banana, who'da thunk it, certainly not me before i started, was dead set on finding something as close to burnt leaves as it was humanly possible to get, now i'm getting as far away from it as i can get lol

I can relate. A vendor sent me a free sample of caramel apple a while back. I had told myself I wasn't into fruit flavours. Well I loved that flavour. It's interesting what we find out with this vaping journey.

OK - give the server 30 mins or so to reset and you should be good to post in other forums now.

Speaking of Greensmoke boo-boo's, I made one myself several years ago on my first attempt to quit smoking. I'm now stuck with the stuff from a starter kit (2 batteries, charger, etc) and a bunch of dried-up cartos. Does anyone know if anything can be salvaged from these for my new e-cig (looking at the Smokeless Image Volt), or is that just a bunch of money that I threw away by rushing into it?

Hi AAkav - was your kit Greensmoke or another kind?

Probably not compatible with Smokeless Image unless its 808-d1. If its old Greensmoke you could try the cartos in the link in my previous post - I've no idea what they are like.
Knowing the threads of your kit would be helpful - 510, 808, or proprietary.

Smokeless Image are a good price anyway.

I just had a lightbulb moment, checked on their site and theres a 30 day money back guarantee with greensmoke, i only got them last week, but have puffed the carts that came with the kits, worth a punt sending them back and going for something else?

I'd say worth a punt. Just check the fine print - it may only be money back if they arrived not working. I kept mine as extreme emergency backups. And ended up using them a couple of times. A friend of mine is using one of my old Greensmoke batts right now while waiting for her first pv and juice order to arrive from a better vendor.
Hanging onto them can have its uses too.

Thanks for the info Kiwi, I'm thinking it's proprietary threading since it's Greensmoke specifically. Just telling the story kind of helped me anyway though - if I don't like the battery, and can't use the cartos anymore, there's nothing left for me to hold on to. Yeah, I see that Smokeless Image has some pretty decent pricing - now I just need to see if I can get them over here haha...

Byran, if my opinion is worth anything, I'd say for sure try to return them. I have found their customer service to be reach-able, so that's something for them at least. I didn't really like Greensmoke either, puffing on them is actually more of a chore than anything. I'd say send it on back while you still can and look into getting something else :)
