Just started vaping this past Friday (May 29) as a way to quit smoking. Picked up an Innokin iTaste MVP3 with an Aspire Nautilus tank and two different juices; one called Canadian Ice (a smooth tobacco with a menthol bite) and one called Sauced (butterscotch with a touch of rum). Both very nice juices at just under 60% PG and 40% VG, 18mg Nic.
I was very surprised... I was a down on my knees kissing their feet slave to cigarettes for 37 years. Tried many many times to quit, and tried all the usual quit aids; patches, gums, lozenges, pills, etc... Nothing worked and I was sick of smoking and being a slave to it. About a year ago a friend recommended vaping, but I was very skeptical and researched it for about a year before deciding to take the plunge and give it a try. Took my first hit off the MVP at 8 PM that Friday night and I seriously haven't touched a cigarette since then!! Everyone who knows me and how addicted I was can't believe I quit just like that, and neither can I. However.... Now I believe I'm addicted to vaping... LOL
I've gotten very interested now in everything about vaping; started checking out info on rebuilding my Nautilus coils, how to get better flavor out my vapes, and even mixed some of the two juices I got to see what the flavor would be like... Turned out pretty good actually, and now I'm even looking into making my own juices. My first try is gonna be adding some vanilla to the Canadian Ice for a vanilla menthol blend and see what it's like.
Already been doing a lot of reading and learning here and looking forward to doing a lot more. If anyone has any suggestions on the best places for equipment and juices feel free to let me know.

Vape on folks! :)

Welcome to ECF! Those are the kinds of posts I like to read, of how you discovered the thing called vaping and are on your way to kissing the smokes good riddance!

Just a little suggestion: think about getting a Kangertech Subtank mini or two for your MVP 3. They work great and you can rebuild the RBA deck easily. I rebuilt one of mine for the first time last weekend, not hard at all. And the flavor and vapor production are nice. You'll want to lower the nic level on the juices you run in the Subtank, but I think you'll like the experience.

Anything you need, just ask in here. You're sure to get a bunch of help on your vaping journey. Good luck in keeping off the analogs!

Congratulations and welcome to the forum! And yes, it can become an all-consuming hobby if you let it. I'm not so much into rebuilding, but I do love making my own juices. Isn't it great to finally be free of cigarettes? I never thought I could do it either, and it's nearly 11 months now! Just the thought of it still gets me all excited. Enjoy your journey!

Thank Doom. Yeah, I always like to give some background when posting an intro in forums. I find it gives people an idea of why you're there LOL.
I was actually looking at the Kanger's as I want to get a couple more tanks so I can switch out my juices when I want a new flavor. I actually have already thought of lowering the nic level as I'm really enjoying the tastes of the juices more than the nic content.

Hey Cat, thanks. Yes it is indeed awesome to be off the cigarettes. I can already breathe a lot better and my long time weeze is now gone. I also notice I can smell and taste things a lot better as well. I know what you mean about being excited too. I'm so looking forward to saying I've been off cigarettes for a month, then six months, then a year, etc....

I'm gonna start out with juices and start rebuilds after that. I figure I'll need, and want juices sooner than coils so got my priorities in order LOL.

Hey Baditude! I've actually read your blogs in my research before taking the plunge. Your beginner's guide was part of what made me decide to go with the MVP3 instead of a cig-a-like as I was intending to do in the beginning. I've had your blog bookmarked for quite a while now. Thanks for the help, in the past and future :)

Hello and welcome to the forum @Shipwreck. Glad to have you here!:)

Are you from Canada? If so, check out this forum: Canada Forum Read the stickies for more information regarding purchasing nic juice from Canadian suppliers.

Thanks million Susan! I am indeed from Ontario Canada and was actually looking for info about nic juice here as I saw US sellers don't ship nic juice here. Just bookmarked the Canada Forum and will be doing a lot of reading while I eat supper here LOL.

time to look for a subtankplus or subtank mini (same coils); and a pack of rba coils for it.
coils designed for rebuilding.
