Hi all, just though it nice to say hi before I bombard you all with questions lol Well, not bombard...gently pepper maybe ;) Been vaping for a year or so I guess, started on silly ecig cigarette lookalikes, then moved on to pen type, then to a kangertech at 15W ish, now got an Xcube Ultra I use around 50-60W. Make my own coils and just trying to make juice, cheap for sure but not quite there yet on blinding tatse lol But hey, a good hobbie!

Hope all well, see you in the forums :)

Hi Anthony & welcome
On your DIY juice creations the typical recipe is around 12% to 16% flavor components. I suspect most store bought juices are somewhat higher, probably 20% to 24% and they usually contain a lot more sweeteners.
After vaping DIY for a few months now I have a hard time liking the store bought stuff as it just seems to strong for the most part.

Welcome and glad you joined. DIY part, for me, is the hobby. Below you will find some additional info you may have missed.

LOL. That'll be the "best mini/cig-a-like e-cigarette" as recommended by

*insert 'so-called respected' fake review site*

Maybe we should start treating these people with the same contempt they show to new vapers and the uneducated.

"Sure, we can teach you about vaping, but we'd really like you to waste a load of cash with one of our sponsored rip-off brands before you realize you've been conned"....

Hi again, sorry for late replies, been a bit busy with my AA and DAA recovery, yep...not just the cigarettes I've been giving up :) I do ofc use a great calculator, so helpful. Think I am on my 4th batch of 100ml, and yes I do know that it's good to make small test batches but I have a limited number of concentrates so just hit and miss, thankfully most been hit. The most recent is 11% canteloupe, 3% cranberry with 1% koolada. I have asthma so want a vapwe that isn't going to affect me, like I found some store bought vapes did, which led me to sites talking about diketones. Now maybe the levels are not high enough to cause worry, but well...if I can choose not to have throat irritants or have them, I choose not, hence my selection is all TFA and diketone free...cranberry, canteloupe, mango, papaya, citrus and koolada to add a touch of freshness.

I use a 72mg PG nicotine, which when I put in 4.2ml it says i then have the 3mg/100ml level I want, which I believe is 3%. I also noticed in my vaping that I got itchy eyes and ears lol Read a lot and seems that some people can have PG or even VG allergies, and as I was originally doing a 50/50 it was hard to tell which it coudl be as my vaping seemed the only logical thing that caused this. Now using 80vg/20pg and has helped a lot :)

The final great thing is that my self made coils are clean, yes, clean lol No gunky black all over them and even after 2 weeks the cotton bacon is white :)

So as one reply said, yes, the DIY and coil building are the hobbies for me, and with practice will get the flavours right...might increase the % based on what smoke_too_much said

Thanks again for welcome, will read the links later when get time :)

Anthony
