Hello everyone, just wanted to drop a note to say "hi". I'm a new vaper, and haven't smoked a single cigarette in exactly one month today! I started vaping out of curiosity, several of my co-workers were doing it, and I made the comment to my wife that "it might help me cut back on my smoking a little bit."

To make a long story short, after vaping for a few days, the cigarettes started tasting worse and worse, until they became so nasty that I couldn't finish my last one. Been smoke-free ever since. Pretty amazing, considering it was a 30-year habit for me. You might say I "accidentally quit". I found these forums while looking for general information on e-cigs, and have learned quite a bit from lurking here.

We are fortunate, here in Louisville, to have several good B&M vape stores in town, but it's great to be able to read about products and tips and tricks here, so that when I go to the stores, I have some idea what I'm looking for.

So having said all of that, these forums are great!

Congrats and welcome....

It's so nice to keep on hearing these "accidentally quit" stories. I got my sister to quit her 30 year, 1.5pad habit just by hanging around me. You know how I KNOW she's kicked it??? She has a Jeep Grand Cherokee; about 7 years old, and it literally stunk of smoke. See she was a teacher and couldn't smoke anywhere on school grounds, so would smoke more in her car than normal and she could not smell the damage done to the interior, but now.....she'd windexing the interior windows and dash, putting odor neutralizers in there and making that Jeep look/feel brand new...all because SHE doesn't want that smoky smell in there anymore. I told her, this car smells brand new now....hope you don't let anyone else smoke in here now!!!

Tell her to change the cabin air cleaner! In my Hyundai, I had to remove the glove box to get to it. But OH so worth it. Seven years of smoke built up in that air filter - bleh. I know exactly what that smells like.
