Hello all. I'm Tim and I'm from Maryland. Just joined the forum but I've been vaping/not smoking for roughly 30 days. I'm hoping to trade some eliquids I have no interest in as I have accumulated quite a few while finding what I do and don't like. Apparently I have to post at least 5 times before I can have access to other forums, so this will be my first of 5.

Tim

Thanks. I've definitely tried that and have had some success with a few flavors. I'm a little picky about the flavors and in my search for different and high quality juices, I was forced online. There have been some duds but overall my experience with Halo and Highbrow has been great. I'm a little freaked out to try many others because I just don't want to waste the money on juices I'm not into. I am, however, left with about half a dozen juices I'll never use and I'd rather they go to people who might appreciate them.

Hi Tim, and welcome!

I agree with Dripdaze's advice. Being able to "taste before you buy" would be a great way to minimize the loss of money on flavors you end up not liking.

I'm not currently able to get to any local vape shops, so I have to subsist with online ordering only. What I did was to read and read through ECF for the most touted juice brands and flavors, and I've narrowed them down to three so far - Mt. Baker Vapors, Nicoticket and Ahlusion. I just bought 5 bottles (+1 freebie) from Mt. Baker's. I hope I like them all, but if I don't, I could always trade them in the ECF classifieds. Great way to avoid losing money.

I agree with all the other posts that a good brick and mortar store helps a lot in the begining so you can try out most of the flavors.
Also nice to be able to look at touch the equipment also! I don't think I would have made it as far as I have just from mail order. I feel that the local (Or somewhat local) is a great help. I have to travel around 30-40 miles just to get to a local store but it is well worth it for the company and information you pick up while there!
And welcome from your neighbor in New Jersey!

Hello Tim. I'm near Kingsville, and drive through your neighborhood a couple of times per month.

I have some advice for you. Save those juices that you don't like. Sooner or later, you will get "vaper's tongue" (you just won't be able to taste your vape for a bit), a cold, or something else that will mess up your sense of taste for a while. When it happens, whip out those juices and vape em up. You'll get your nic fix, and not even notice that you are vaping something that you don't necessarily like. As a bonus, you won't be vaping away the juices that you DO like while you can't taste properly.

Good luck!

Thanks guys. Definitely feeling the love. I like the idea about vaping my unwanted juices when I'm sick or when I have vaper's tongue. I've traveled to a couple of different brick and mortar stores in my area. I guess I should try a few others. The eLiquids I've been exposed to at the vape bars have been less than great and I'm really digging on the "gourmet" juices from Halo and Highbrow, right now. I'd like to find a place that can offer me some of those kinds of juices. I do agree that being able to talk to people about actual equipment was a life saver. There's SO much out there it get's overwhelming, fast.

Hi, fellow Marylander! You could try mixing a couple of your not-liked flavors; either you will come up with something delicious, in which case you've saved the juice, or something awful, in which case you're no worse off than you were before.

I highly recommend Mt. Baker Vapor; they are inexpensive and have many flavors to try, plus they send you a freebie if you order more than $15 worth. You can get smallish bottles so you don't spend a lot of money. I like a lot of Halo's flavors, too, though they ain't cheap.

Have you checked out the 2 vape shops in Ellicott City?

Hello from a Eastern Shore Native (St. Michaels) who moved to Carolina about 12 years ago. All of my kids grew up, moved to Carolina and started making Grandbabies. Guess where Mamaw wanted to be ?
I am too cheap. I started by ordering four or five small bottles from various Vendors that were 'Recommended' by ECF Members ubtil I found a few I likes, then just stayed with them. Only a few bottles were so bad I gave them away, but finding the right juices is important. Keep Looking, Keep Vaping ! Unfortunately, you're taste buds are unique to you. All tastes are subjective, It's just a process we all go through. Don't let this deter you. Once you've found the right juices and right equipment, it's all worth it.

I've been to Vape Dojo in Ellicott City. I love them and their customer service. I would recommend the highly. Their juices, though, I'm not a big fan of. I'm really picky about my juices. To my detriment, clearly :) I haven't tried the other although friends of mine have recommended it. There's another store in my town but I've had so many bad experiences there, I refuse to ever give them my money. I'll branch out, try some new vape bars and continue to try small bottles online. Even though it's frustrating to get ones you don't like, it's a fun experience to try so many different flavors. ECF has been really helpful about giving me ideas for vendors to try.

Welcome fellow Marylander! Vape Vine in Millersville has a lot of different juice brands that you can sample. Vapexcape in Reisterstown has a lot of different brands of juices as well, but I don't think they let you try most of them and they bend you over on the price. Vape Dojo is my favorite shop in the area, but they really only carry their own juices. I like them, and the price is definitely right, but they aren't everyone's cup of tea. They did just start carrying a new "gourmet" line called Envy, I believe.

Woohoo, HoCo vaper checking in here too! I really like the dojo too, but I'm biased as they "popped my cherry" so to speak. I like to drop in and hang for a bit and give them $5-20 for new flavors. I'm really wondering what the new premium juice line is like. I might stop by today and see if they have tasters. Has anyone tried it yet?
