I understand the habit aspect of it, hope it didn't sound like i was diminishing the success of getting from 3 packs to 2 which is a big accomplishment on its own :) As for the taste it gets worse with time eventually you wont want to have a cig at all :) I myself still enjoy a couple of stinkys when drinking but aside from that i dont touch them :)

No problem. I'm proud of the fact that I have cut back to, for me, nearly nothing. Today one of my co-workers commented on the fact I wasn't smoking. I showed her my mods and told her I had taken up vaping. She expressed a desire to quit cigs and wanted to know about vaping.

I filled her in and gave her a business card for the place I buy my stuff from. The fact that other people notice I'm not smoking like a freight train is encouraging to me.

Truck Drivers? ECF must be desperate for members, letting in that unsavory lot... LOL

GPSTrucker, welcome!! I started my OTR skateboarding, 53ft steps and 48ft flats. Went on to be a suicide jockey. Now I am happy being home each night and delivering cardboard. Speaking of, I have a 23:30 for General Mills I have to get rolling.

Congrats on your accomplishments thus far, I know how hard it can be out , pressure and temptations both to smoke and eat. Keep up the good work!

Thanks. I went the opposite route as yourself. I was a telecommunications engineer for over 15 years, and then a high school teacher for two years before going over the road. Been trucking since 1996 and love it.
I loved trucking for many years before getting out of it, I was loving getting paid to see the country, but I've seen all of it I want to through the windshield of a truck, seen a lot of it way to many times.
