Hello there!

I have had other cheap e-cigs in the past, and then also tried the Blus. I would like to get more acquainted with everything though as far as the more advanced e-cigs. Any tips?
Welcome to ECF. There seems to be a very natural progression from Blus to ego to APV so I would recommend an ego kit for the next step.:)
Like the one RoseB linked above ^

Welcome to the forums! Always happy to see another person from KY here!
Here are 2 good starter kits that can take many different types of clearo's, atty's and just about anything that has ego or 510 threading.

DV eGo-T Starter Kit - Stainless - 900mah

They're not expensive and once you get more comfortable with them and your knowledge on the equipment grows you can then make more informed choices on your future upgrades without wasting too much money.

Welcome! You've certainly come to a good place for more info--I've found ECF to be a very friendly and helpful community. Tips? Ask questions, and read up ;).

To get things started: I started with a Blu kit too. My next device was an 650mAh eGo Twist by Joyetech. I picked that specific device to address two shortcomings I found with the Blu:

1.) The battery life kinda sucks.
2.) The quality of the vape suffers as you use up the batteries charge--the first 5-10 puffs are pretty good, but it becomes a very piddly vape pretty quickly. Unregulated batteries will do this.

The eGo addresses both problems--it's got about 6x the battery life. And, being variable voltage, it does a pretty good job of delivering a consistent vape through the battery's charge. Two other positives:

1.) They're relatively inexpensive
2.) If you've still got prefilled cartos from the Blu, you can still use them with the eGo.

That's just the route that I went. There are TONS of other options out there, so read up and try to define what your requirements are (size, price, features, etc.). It helps a ton in narrowing things down.

Please don't hesitate to post questions if you're having trouble finding the answers you're looking for--there are plenty of people here willing to help out :)

Again, welcome, and happy vaping! :toast:

Hi Kid, welcome to the club... !

a nice starter kit I always feel good about recommending is the Kanger EVOD
it is sturdy, simple, and cheap--and even cheaper now on sale here with free shipping

http://www.vaporbeast.com/Kanger-Evod-Replacement-Coil-Head-5-Pack-p/64-0214-000.htm

maybe some e juice too eg : http://www.vaporbeast.com/Holy-Grail-RY4-Sweet-Tobacco-p/50-0116-000.htm

good luck , and let us know how it turns out...

I have the Halo Triton kit as well, and picked up a VV. I do like them, but I kinda want to play with the fun stuff that is out there... and all the fun stuff doesn't rhyme with 808 threads unfortunately. I'd recommend the Halo kit if you want something that is pretty solid and you just want it to work... but if you want to play with all the crazy toys out there then a 510 ego type battery is your buddy (that's what I am pickup up here shortly).

Welcome to the forum. I also recommend the Ego style battery. Not sure how advanced you want to go, but I like the Vision Spinner or Joyetech twist, all the advantages of Ego style batteries, plus they allow you to try VV with a simple dial at the bottom of the battery. Start at 3.3 and adjust until you find the flavor and vapor you like, very easy, and once you try VV you will most likely never want to go back to fixed voltage. However if VV is more than you feel comfortable with, the fixed voltage Ego style batteries are a step up from cigalikes.

Here is a link to a complete Spinner/Twist kit, if you are not ready for such a kit, keep this in mind if you feel like trying it later. http://www.myvaporstore.com/Vision_Spinner_Joye_Ego_C_Twist_Combo_p/vvs-c.htm

Another good item is the Innokin Itaste VV, this link is from Fasttech, shipping will take a little over a week normally. Nice kit, a little more advanced than the Spinner/Twist, another item to keep in mind for later if you aren't ready for it yet. https://www.fasttech.com/products/1411/10004594/1383905-itaste-vw-v3-0-7-in-1-variable-voltage

Wishing you the best no matter what you chose.
