Hello Everyone, I'm just posting to introduce myself and say hello. I've been vaping for 2 months now after 27 years of smoking analogs. I was pretty much a total convert from the start. I've smoked maybe two or three analogs since I made the switch. I've also converted both of my sister-in-law's (we're having a great time with vaping) and two friends! So, it's been great. I've just recently bought a bunch of DIY e-juice stuff from RTS. I'm looking forward to having bad results and asking about why:).

Welcome to ECF, I doubt you will find a nicer forum anywhere on the net. Ask questions even if you feel like they are stupid. Everyone one of us went on the same journey and can help you avoid some of the pitfalls that new vapers can fall into.

there is a tremendous amount of knowledge on here, take advantage of it.

Thanks for such a warm welcome!
I just got my DIY stuff today from RTS. He basically sells the Flavor Apprentice liquids. I'm going to start with only mixing one flavor at a time, 50/50 at 5% flavor. I've been having (wasting) a wonderful amount of time lurking.
Now I wish I started posting sooner because i didn't realize that there was homework that had to be done:) But that is all good. I'm glad this forum looks out for one and another. It seems safe and I like that.
I'm also really thinking about getting a rebuildable atomizer. But my plan is to gradually get off of the nic and stop vaping altogether. So, that might be kind of expensive...on the other hand...LOL. I kind of feel like I gave up one devil to be met by the next. Not sure. But I'm happy to hear and know about the preliminary results found regarding vaping.
thanks again for the warm welcome.

Welcome to ECF,

I love your outlook on the DIY, I am just getting into that part of it myself so good luck!!!!!!!!!!
Hi Nancy R,
Thanks for letting me know that I'm not the only one getting into DIY at this late date:) when I first decided to order some DIY stuff it seemed so simple! Mix a few drop of this and that...voila! After reading a bit more I'm realizing it's a bit like baking or cooking anything. Those "voila" moments are earned:) Can't wait to hear more from other newbie DIY'ers such as yourself.
At the end of the day who can't try. My goodness, the savings are incredible. Plus, the amount you can control nic levels and flavor levels. It seems to be a no brainer. I'm sure I'll change my opinion in the morning:)
Thanks for the encouragement. Let me know what you find.

I lurked for months and kept smoking the stinkies. This place is just phenomenal. I went from confused to happy in three days. You are in good hands here.

Dawn, like you I wanted to get off of analogs and eventually go completely off anything. I'm making that journey now. First step is to stop paying horrible prices for something that just ends up in ash. Oh and if you want to talk expensive. Look at some of the sig banners in peoples posts. That will give you a real idea of how much money we are saving. I'm only three weeks in and something like 90-100 bucks saved. You will probably spend most of your money out of the gate. Trying juices, mods etc. But, look at the big picture - three months from now, a year from now. Even if you "break even" on analogs, your health will be well worth the cost.

Welcome aboard!
