Sorry to hear about your medical issues!!!! I know almost exactly what you went through.
November of last year, I went to see my doctor cause I had slight abdominal pains that didn't go away after a few days. So, I go in, get my blood drawn and they say they"ll have the results in a day or so, but probably just a intestinal infection. Almost an hour later, they call me back and say "you need to come in right now", not something I wanted to hear!!!
I get into my doctors office and two doctors come in with very strange looks on their faces. They proceeded to tell me I had cancer and needed a colonoscopy to determine just how bad. So they schedule a CT scan and the colon scan all, in the same day. Apparently, I had a 7cm tumor blocking my appendix and it was about to burst. The CT scan also showed that my liver was 96% cancerous and I had "maybe" two years to live. By that night, I was under the knife having a colon resection to cut out 1/3 of my colon to remove the tumor and appendix, but nothing they can do about my liver except a biopsy.
I'm still going through chemo for my liver, but it's not as affective as they had hoped. The cancer is gone from my colon, but because the cancer has spread...it's stage 4 and hard to recover from, or so they say. I'm still fighting it though and will continue to not give up.
OK, so to my point....they allowed me to vape in my hospital room (surprising!!) and due to my medical bills, I can't afford any more expensive mods...so I know what it's like to put things on hold too.
