ok so let me start by saying I never used tanks. I mostly vape on my limitless mod which excludes those already since it's a hybrid and I like my hands where they are. On that note I did pick up a griffin because I needed a tank for my job since I work construction and saw dust in my twisted messed doesn't sound fun. So since I've gotten this tank contrary to what everyone says I cannot wick this thing for crap. I get constant dry hits and a generally unpleasant vape, I was wondering if anyone had some tips for me? Please and thank you =]
Side note for trolls: no I'm not using it on my limitless I have a regulated device for it so don't chew me up going off topic in this post about safety and what not.

When youi cit the wick, cut it at an angle to go along with the angle of the deck. Cut them just long enough to tuck into the cotton retaining ring, no need to stuff wick down the coils. If you have too much wick and stuff it down there, that might be why you have dry hits. Watch a few vids, too, I think this is the one I watched -

Here is another one that is closer to how I am wicking it now.

I finished the juice I was vaping in the Griffin, and decided to take a look at the coils, to see how they and the wicking were holding up. This is using something closer to the 2nd vid, basically a modified Scottish roll wick. Despite how dry they look, I had taken a hit right before disassembly and I was not getting dry hits at all, just a decrease in vapor and flavor.

Stupid question: Are you sure the juice flow holes are open? What vg you using? Ive had issues with chain vaping anything higher than 80vg

When I wick, I cut and just set the wicks barely inside the top of the ring. Dont pack it in there or it chokes. Rayon is easy as its already thinned out, but with cotton, you really gotta be mindful of how much is on the tail. Dont shove it down the hole into the channel

as mentioned, a couple of suggestions.

1. make sure your JFC is open when vaping, happens to me quite often as well, was vaping an RTA in TC mode with a DNA200 mod one time with the JFC closed, wondering why the hell it wasn't producing vapor, switched to power mode, BAM instant dry hit that left a bad taste for days.

2. when wicking, you don't really want to see any cotton (assuming your using cotton) below that ring.

3. if #2 doesn't help, try tapering your cotton ends
