I got a gripper about a month ago, & the battery connector came loose inside, so I decided to crack it open to fix it. I don't think they are very robustly built, but very simple to fix/mod.

Just find a small gap in the seam & insert a Stanley knife blade into it & turn. Mine cracked in half very easily. I then moved (& re-soldered) the 510 connector up to the top, & attached a 510-Ego adaptor onto it. Gorilla-glued it all back together, & covered it in vinyl sticky backed plastic to finish it off.

Voila. I now have one to use with my eGo atties & tanks.

I love the Gripper. It is a great little mod, especially for stealth vaping.

Hi Asdaq

The wire is very very thin, so I replaced it with some that was a bit more robust to be honest. It is held together with glue, but not very much. There are a few tabs, & I broke one off when cracking it, but Gorilla glue fixes all! I only covered it in vinyl, because it looked a bit tatty when I had glued it all back together.

Looks quite nice though now I think

Hi Willy.

It's an eGo connector, so that's as far as you would want it to go or you couldn't fit eGo atties on it. I did use a 510 to eGo adaptor, as they had no eGo battery connectors in stock & I am impatient! If you are asking if you could sink the eGo connector in so an atty would go down into the tube, then no. You would have to dill out the tube more to do that.

The 510 would fit perfectly in the tube to make it flush with the top without a problem.

I know, but they call it a Gripper Mod on the websites you buy them from, & I thought that "Gripper Mod-Mod" sounded snappy - lol!
