groove battery replacement

I'd like to modify my smoktech groove by pulling the o.g. flat batt and solder in a 18650. Ive already verified that the unit will work/ vape with a single 2000 mah imr, but I'm afraid to plug it in to see if it will charge. I'd like some reassurance before I plug error in. any help would be greatly appreciated.

I'd be surprised if you can fit an 18650 in there.

yeah, thats why I'm looking to replace the battery.

The stock battery as far as we know isn't the problem per se, it's the body screws touching the battery pack.
