I'm glad that we in sweden get our vapemails to a post office nearby and we've to collect it ourself. Way safer and you get a notification when it's in so i don't have to scout online for delivered status. :)

One thing makes me wonder though, paycheck in the mail? Don't you get the choise to get the money sent directly to the bank account?
Or i'm i spoiled in that way, that we get our paychecks straight to our bank accounts?

I'm abit amazed of how diffrent countries can be. :)

Also sorry for the USPS service :-/ I keep reading about issues with them alot around here at the forums.

As far as direct deposit, yes, they do. My son, however, just finished school and will be going into the military (U.S. Marines). The military gives you a bank account, so he didn't want to bother setting up a bank account... they will give him one and deposit his paycheck straight into that account. He ships off in 3 weeks, so this is a temporary job.

And depending on the package, they have something called registered mail, which waits for a signature. If not, it gets sent to the mail office much like what happens in your country. fasttech, however, doesn't ship it registered to my knowlege.

Now, I have a feeling it was the USPS delivery person. HE/She usually is on a time schedule, so they separate batches. They drive up, pick up the bundle, put it in the mailbox, then drive to the next. It looks like she missed one house, so everybody's address was moved forward one house.

For the most part, I don't have too many problems with the mail system. It just happens that the one time we had a large valuable shipments come in at the same time, they mess it up.

Oh i see! Thanks for the explanation. :)
Also best wishes to your son in the military!

I thought SlowTech was China snail mail (a junk on the Yangsee river then six weeks later it magically appears on your door delivered by a dragon or something) :p

Actually, it is the Customs that make it slow. In this case, it was an extremely slow shipment since there were batteries involved. fasttech is usually close to what they state.. if they say it ships in 7 days, it usually does. IF they say shipped next day, it usually does unless something slower is on the order. Once they hand it over to the mail, that's when the slow part comes in. It usually gets stuck in both the US and China exports for a week each. There was a huge shipping time for batteries, since most mail services won't ship any lithium ion batteries by air anymore.. so then you have to wait for shipping by ship.. which meant containers, etc.

I can't really blame Fasttech. That's why I'd prefer to blame it on the USPS... United States Postal Slowness,

I like the junk on the river.... :)

Yea, I asked him the same question.. why not just direct deposit it.... I didn't know they'd give hyim a bank account. As a matter of fact, they won't deal with any bank but their own.

I would assume it is due "ease of use" or how i should say it.
Would be alot more paperwork if everyone got their deposits where they wanted it. I might be wrong though, just a guess. :)

I think I already posted on this, but here's an interesting update. I had a package shipped from Vape Wild by FedEx "Smart"Post on 6/13 (I'm not blaming Vape Wild by the way). FedEx "Smart"Post uses USPS as an intermediary between facilities. The package shipped from Vape Wild same day and I placed an order from FastTech that same day and another the day following for some accessories. My "Smart"Post order has now been sent through 5 different states on its way from Texas to California and is scheduled for delivery next Monday 6/29. In the meantime I have received both my shipments from China. What a joke.

I called again today to see about my refund for my 2 day delivery that took a week. FINALLY got ahold of the guy that can get me the refund (it only took a month) and the son of an unwed mother hung up on me as soon as he looked up my case #. I now have his personal extension and have been hitting redial over and over for 20 min. He keeps picking up the receiver and SLAMMING it down. GREAT customer service. Awesome. Love the USPS. :-x:-x:-x:-x:-x:-x:-x:-x:-x:-x:-x:-x:-x:-x It's only 5 bucks, and I would have given up on it a month ago, but I have talked to some of the rudest people I have ever encountered on the phone (and that's saying a lot) in this process and at this point it's a principle thing.

Twice in recent months I've had a Fasttech package show as delivered on USPS.com and it was not delivered until a day or two later. Today I asked a coworker who once worked in the postal system about the issue. He says sometimes the carrier will pass up a delivery because he only has one item (the item we are waiting for of course) but he'll use the hand scanner to show it as delivered to avoid trouble with his supervisor.

My mail carrier hasn't shown in two days! Which the day before he lied about no safe place to leave my reo mod, complete lie! Signature was required! Mail was delivered at 6pm, tracking with above message was entered after 7pm. No knock on door I was sitting 7 foot from. Wasted over 3 hours over two on the phone with usps. So glad this was shipped 2 day priority, the least it will take is 5 days. and that's if the mail idiot actually shows up tomorrow. It might rain, so not looking good. Dusting of snow, heavy rain, cold temperatures, we don't get delivery at all, and we live in the actual city of Pittsburgh, not a suburb. I HATE USPS! currently have 4 open issues with them on different levels, including against the local post master general.

USPS is a joke.
These guys always leave the packages in our lobby which has glass walls and everyone can just walk in. That's where I found my $130 rDNA lying around when I came home today.
That's where my DIY supplies were stolen 2 weeks ago. And several packages for my wife. And I have a note on my mailbox that they DON'T leave my packages in the lobby when I'm not at home. The freaking USPS office is right across the street. I don't mind walking 100ft.

for the amount of stuff they deliver..I cut them some slack..my daughter sends their vape mail here (they're in apartments people steal them) and my son's gaming stuff and Ed and my vape mail and I order online everything from TP to tires..that's pretty overwhelming.

Neal..my drip tips got held up in customs for over a month then :p

and thanks that was my son's favorite book..the duck on that Junk on the Yangtzee river (however it's spelled) but I just picture my Slow Tech package getting here that way and it made the six with one, 7 weeks with another easier *lol*

As a longtime mail carrier I can say that is DEFINITELY not cool, to skip a stop with mail, especially a delivery confirmation item, is very much frowned upon, in our neck of the woods at least. Not to mention just downright lazy :nah:
