I vape a few very basic mechanical mods, a fasttech under $10 cheapie that works incredibly well $8.32 Turtle Ship V2 Styled Mechanical Mod without having to tinker with it. I use an 18350 or 18650 battery in them.

I use an Eleaf GS Air 2 to vape, which puts out a ton of vapor. I use either 1.2 ohm or 1.5 ohm "heads". $6.74 Eleaf GS-Tank Pure Cotton Coil Head (5-Pack) - 1.2ohm(8-30W)

Very satisfied with this setup.

I bought a GS-Tank and the box says the new heads require 30-40 watts. The head they sent is a .15 ohm head. Will this work with a mechanical mod and an 18650? Or should I use some of my old 1.2-1.5 ohm coils?

Thanks!

First, you'll need 30 amp batteries. True 30 amp batteries. Second, you'll be vaping at about 120 (fully charged battery) to 90w (battery at 3.7v). You do know your ohms law and battery safety, right? Otherwise you shouldn't be using a mech mod.

Yes.. stick with the 1.2 or 1.5s
The .15 is a nickle coil and should ONLY be used on a TC (non mech) enabled device.

Be safer

I don't know the science or tech which is why I am using the simplest setup. But I do understand, "no, don't use the .15 ohm coil." So thank you for that. I swapped out for a 1.5 ohm coil and it vapes much smoother.
If you're going to use mech mods you really, really need to learn battery safety and ohms law. You're risking injury.
