As many of you know I work with hot glass. Borosilicate (pyrex) to be specific.

Anyhow, I've mentioned it in another thread, but I want to start making bottles, fully worked with color, dichro, fume, opals. The works.

The tops would be ground glass fittings. I'd have to make a pipette with a rubber dropper on top. These will not be child proof! There's just no way that I know of to do that. The glass joints are a pretty good fit, though, if you give it a bit of a twist to 'lock' it in place.

I would not be selling these, but trading them.

Is there any interest in this? This is only being offered to the PiF group, btw. ;)

You can see my style of work on my FB page in my link

Thanks for all the kind words everyone. Looks like I'm going to be busy when I get back in the studio. I have a bubbler to make and a few more pieces of jewelry, but I'll try to fit some time in to maks some bottles. I do have accounts to keep up with, so juice bottles will be made when I have time. But I do like to switch things up, so making bottles will be nice for a change.

I think I have all the correct size tube and fittings for this. I just need to get some dropper bulbs. I've sourced them and will be placing an order in the next few days after a check clears.

I plan on doing many different designs. My 'metalwork' line will be cool. I do a few tricks and make the glass actually look like metal. With glass nuts and screws, and even welds. But I also think other designs will be cool, too. Spirals, reversals, wigwags, opal chuncks, honeycomb.

Y'all are going to like these.

How can I beat that.... I know! *gives shatner a nakey hug* ... .. ....... I blew it didn't I?

It's gonna take more than that. Sorry.  First come first serve. Once I have one made, I'll post it in the 'PiF thread' or 'swap and shop. Don't worry. You'll see 'em. And I'm not only making one. I'll keep making them 'till the demand runs out.

Ok, guys and gals. To make this easier on myself, I ordered 5 dozen of the c130 from here:

CR Scientific: Catalog: Droppers, Pipettes, 1 ml and 5 ml Rubber Bulbs

This will save me a lot of time because I'll just make stopper tops for the bottles with a small marble or something on top. I won't have to make the pipettes and weld them to fittings, which can be a weak point in the glass if the weld isn't perfect.

So as soon as those get here I'm sure I'll have at least a couple bottles finished.

Game on.
