LOL I do live in the south and have even been to old south re-enactments that show the houses in the glades with home made sugar cane processing. Never saw that!

Without the triangle thing, it looks like the end of a grilling fork. stick on a wooden spoon or something.

you take the triangle off and stick a stick thru the hole and pinch the two sides slightly to make another hole for the stick to be stabylized. for cooking hotdogs, marshmallows and anything else you can roast on a stick
