Gurgling and Leaking Solved by Higher VG content

I've noticed with my Davides and my G50's and any tank that uses the Protank/Evod heads, that when I use a thinner 80/20 juice I get alot of liquid in my mouth and gurgling. However when I try my DIY stuff which is 50/50, no problems whatsoever. Has anyone else noticed this?

I run a Mini Davide. What I've noticed is the coils flood and I get that gurgling when I use my local B&Ms 50/50 juice, but it vapes just fine when I use my own 25/75 juices.
Sometimes it will still flood with the 25/75 in it. But that's normally when I need to wash the coils out. So I clean the coils, dry burn it, put it all back together, let the wicks soak a little, and I'm good to go.

I'm using 100 VG in the Kanger stuff. All I can tell you is even with 100 VG those top wicks are important to control feed of liquid to the coil. On occasion I get a new coil with insufficient top wicks and have to add to the wicking to get it to perform right. You could just try adding some extra wicking rather than modifying your liquids Even some cheesecloth if you have it laying around can be cut and shaped to add to or replace the top wick.

I saw it somewhere else, but someone said if you double up the silicone/rubber grommet on the head that this also solves the issue. It would make sense that the thicker liquid would be less drippy, runny.
