I had something pretty cool happen today. I was at a car show and I had my 1300 mah battery with a vision victory tank on it. Its a pretty large and noticeable device.
I was watching a car auction which was taking place under a very large metal building. The building was basically a 30 foot high roof with three open sides. I was standing about 10 feet inside from the edge of the building and about 30 feet from the nearest person. I was vaping away kinda wondering if someone would tell me to stop and after a while an attendant started walking my way. He was eyeing my hand with my Vape in it and as soon as he got to me he said "Oh is that one of those phony cigarretes?". I said "yeah its an electronic" and he said "Oh OK you're good then". Then he immediately walked outside to someone who was smoking an analog about 15-20 feet AWAY from the building and told him to go to the designated smoking area. I'm actually really surprised at the number of people I have met who recognize vaping as something completely separate from smoking. I thought for sure the guy was gonna tell me to join the smokers and I would have politely obeyed. But it turned out the opposite. Kinda made my day. :vapor:

I guess it all depends on the person. there are a lot of people who think vaping is just as bad as smoking. In some cases (even though it hasn't been proven) they could be right, but if some comes up to me and asks me to either go out to a designated area or just not vape, im not gonna tell them no and do what I want. It is out of courtesy. I always have people ask about mine and I let them know that it has helped me quit the stinky cigarettes. People kind of look at me funny because I have a VAMO with a 6.0mL tank. so it is huge, but every chance I get when I talk to people is to educate them and let them know that it is a "safer" alternative. It just goes to show that not all people are hard headed when it comes to talking with them and by the end of the conversation they are truly amazed

Yeah that's the best thing I have found. I talk to everyone I can about vaping and I find myself hoping people will ask me about it (especially people who smoke) so that I can explain it and how much it has helped me and how good I feel now, and possibly help someone else who is desperately trying to escape the analogs like I was.

I was at an outdoor concert Friday evening and I was vaping as well. One employee approached me and I told her it wasn't a cigarette and I had no problem. I did see one other vaper. My daughter and were at a lounge yesterday and we were both vaping. When I vape with a blue tip it seems to go over better than the red tip that looks more like a cigarette.

Awesome story - likewise, I'll respect anyone that asks me not to vape, and I'm more than a little gun-shy about vaping in obviously inappropriate places like restaurants, but in the right situation I'll let that atty burn and I'm almost hoping a smoker will chat me up about what I'm doing...

Likewise here, as much as I love the 'classic' red/orange tips on my cigalikes, I've started getting flashier colors like green, blue, even purple, just to make it obvious I'm not smoking an analog indoors. Though if I'm out on the street, I usually run a white or black battery with an orange tip and matching cartos, more discrete and looks like a cigarette so I don't get hassled for smoking something else that'd get me in trouble. It's all about perception, if you ask me..people see what they want to.

It's suprising how uncommon it still is in alot of places. I live in a suburb of Cleveland, Ohio, and most of the time people out here think you are doing drugs or something outrageous until you explain yourself to them and even then they give you one of those looks . I suppose a black evic with silver accents, angle drip tip adapter and 18350 kit may look a little weird to some compared to say, a blu or cig-a-like type, but hey that's what I'm comfortable carrying around now! The only vaper I've seen out in public with anything other than cig-a-likes had a E-go with a MT3 and was in line at cedar point, and I'm out a lot!

Although you're technically "allowed" to smoke them in alot more places, I'm a bit timid and usually won't pull the Evic out anywhere unless I'm with other vapers or smokers. This story is awesome to hear, but if there was a designated smoking area I already know I would've been out there instead, not because I feel I should be, but because I wouldn't feel like answering all the questions that always comes with it around here. That's just how I am though. I wish I was less shy and could bust it out anywhere and hit it, so I could help spread the word more, but I'm glad you guys are!

I agree, keep at it and, do ask if you can vape even if smoking is not allowed - you might be able to vape and, the smokers see we can have our vape (with nic if we like.)

I found that more managers and/or business owners allowed me to vape if my PV did not look like an analog so, there is another plus to the cool looking ones. :)
