Love that mod, but had enough of the ramp up heating so fast. I've dealt with it since I got it (about five months) and pretty much just got past the first pull full of heat and be fine until it sat for a while. It wasn't so bad on stock coils, and sometimes would not heat so fast at all but since I'm making my own coils now for my Toptank it seems to be a bit unforgiving on my coil so had to put in storage and take out my MVP 3.0 in it's place. I'm sad because the battery was awesome on that thing. I think I read somewhere that it was a common issue with that mod. Anywho, it's on vacation for awhile.

I had a similar situation with a Presa 75w I recently purchased. Every so often it would just randomly fire really high. A kayfun mini v3 at 12w watts that randomly surges to 30w is not a pleasant experience. I ended up checking the firmware version and it was running the original firmware so I updated to the newest firmware, version 3.something, and it has not fired higher since.

Unfortunately for me there is no firmware upgrade for my device. I only paid $23.99 on sale for it back in May and used it everyday since. It's a good mod, but I've noticed the ramp up more since I've been building my own coils and using lower wattage. The cotton inside my coil was getting a bit chard. I can use it with stock coils no problem, and I guess if I ever decide to vape high wattage then it wouldn't be noticeable.
